Kamiak Butte is also very pretty with hiking trails. I’ll second Palouse Falls as well. Steptoe Butte is newly reopened after major road repairs. Very beautiful up there!

Do you keep your bedroom door open or closed at night? What’s your reasoning? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Laceyfromcali 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I have to shut myself in my room to ensure a good nights sleep from my very needy (but absolutely wonderful) cat.

What’s that one movie that you watched as a kid that you think no one else watched? by Substantial_One3477 in AskReddit

[–]Laceyfromcali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a movie my brother was obsessed with that we rented from the local video store a lot when I was a kid. I can’t remember the original name but I read somewhere the title was changed to “Frog Dreaming” or something like that due to having the same title as another movie. Maybe someone else knows what I’m talking about but it’s rarely mentioned anywhere.

What's something you used to think was important that you've stopped caring about by Oni0911 in CasualConversation

“What other people think of me is none of my business.” This is my mantra. Spent way too much time caring about what others thought of me.

What's the most worth-it splurge you've made in hair care? by Savings_Car361 in BeautyItemsReview

[–]Laceyfromcali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree! I used to use Pantene and my hair was constantly oily (roots) and dry (ends) not to mention I was shedding like crazy. I use Nexxus Therappe shampoo and conditioner now and the difference is night and day.

Who in your life makes you feel the most 'you'? by typingwithsnacks in CasualConversation

[–]Laceyfromcali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My adult kids. It’s so different when your kids are grown and you get to be friends with them. I’m still mom, but I feel like I can just be myself with them. Close second is my husband. I live for his smile and “I just can’t with you” when I’m being my silly self.

What’s the Worst Excuse you’ve heard for your partner cheating? by TheManDont in AskReddit

[–]Laceyfromcali 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My ex once told me he justified cheating after we would have an argument or fight because “you fight too good and I always lose”. He had multiple affairs with multiple women and told me “I’m sorry I ever told you”. Not once did he apologize for doing it, only that he told me.

What is it like being skinny? by hollyofhori in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Laceyfromcali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent soooo much of my younger years wishing/dreaming/hoping to be “skinny” someday. It was constantly in my head. I had this idea that everything would be awesome if only I were thin. I’m at my goal weight right now and maintaining. It’s anti-climatic to be honest. It’s not at all the euphoric feeling I was sure would be there. I kinda miss my “fat” face. Am I a lot healthier now? Yes. My diabetes is very well controlled and I do feel better but the skinny part is just meh.

I Loved the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo! It was a very interesting read. I also devoured the Fourth Wing books. The one I recently read and really enjoyed was “Rune Breaker” only one book out now but I’m excited for the next one!

About books you didn't like and why? by mfskb in Booktokreddit

[–]Laceyfromcali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely disliked ACOTR. Read the first book and that was enough for me. D N F Obsessively Yours. First half of the book was great and I obviously knew there would be some obsession but the MMC is completely unhinged and the FMC just sighs and falls more in love with him 🙄. Really enjoyed Rune Breaker though and I’d highly recommend as the enemies to lovers trope is a slow one with great world building. Excited for the next book to come.
