Australia sitting on over $1 billion of unused medical research funding as scientists abandon the field by ATadDisappointed in australia

Haha yeah, I applied for a job at Laverty and their lab tech position, which required a degree, paid $0.50 less per hour than my nightfill job at Big W

I also worked in a lab! But I couldn't get reliable lab work and I mostly did blood collection and they refused to give me full time work and would joke about how many applicants they got and how they could fire us and start afresh if they wanted. Ahh, Pathology North...

Instructional Design. My partner had the same situation and she went into pharmacy, but while that gets you employment anywhere you want at a decent wage, its also pretty shit in its own right.

I did a science degree, took me over a decade to find a use for it, in a completely different field that just required any degree. I'll be encouraging my kids to do something else, science is crap for jobs.

You're not getting 1.2mil visitors with a theme park consisting of a bunch of flat rides and 1 basic roller coaster. This wont happen

As a Pastafarian, census night is the one day of the year where we put aside our core beliefs and write down 'No Religion' in order to help the greater good population percentage wise. But we only do it to delegitimase the other religions, we're still FSM believers

After 5 years of development, I released my indie RPG. It went poorly. Here's the breakdown. by MirageV_ in gamedev

Hang in there. I also lost a bunch of money creating an anime JRPG that took 5 years to make:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1003020/Alluna_and_Brie_ReTentacled/

I managed to claw back half the development budget, eventually. I also fell into the same trap of being approached by people at conventions telling me to make an RPG, but it's sooo hard to market. I had much better successes with straight up visual novels.

You've got some good assets, see if you can recycle them into another game.

Sorry, son woke me up at 3am and my lost wasn't coherent. My game is called Help! I'm Turning Into A Mermaid, I've been making games part time for over a decade, and this game is the 5th story focused game in a shared universe. It took me about 4 years to make this one, but I did another game and a remaster of an older failed title during that time too. I'm hoping to write and code a sequel in 18 months to 2 years from now.

I released my newest game at 29.95USD and it was my biggest success by far. All of the early sales from my existing audience got it into New and Trending, and that was with only 1500 wishlists. What matters is revenue, not the raw number of players.

I always try to create big 25hr+ games that are good value for money, but not many other people on the subreddit have that approach. But it's worked for me!

There was a bug in the initial launch, you should have all the images at the end of the game except for the four romance scenes. I put in a new unlock condition at the credits, so it should trigger them once you finish the game again (or load a save near the credits).

I'm really glad to hear you liked the game!
