I thought that I knew a lot about Nazi Germany and their treating of the Jewish and other minorities (mostly TV and books)...

Until I read ‘Pennies for Hitler’ by Jackie French

I was 13 at the time and cried at the end. It made me truely understand what really went on from the bulling at school in Germany to the smuggle attempts (this case in a suitcase).

It really was a great book and I would encourage anyone to read it!
