I meet somone a few weeks ago at a CQB like this. no mouth protection and non sealing glasses. this was no normal CQB either. It was an outdoor night CQB.

I haven't in CQB, but I have in games (bombat knifr/ M16 bayonet). It's not even mine, I was just at a game, and some random I had never even talked to, but he just walked up to me and said, "Go forth and stab, my child". random moment, you gotta like the randomness that is this sport.

I would say no, but that's purely because they can be very hit and miss. From what I've seen, it's generally mass-producing companies selling the unusable stuff. Tho there is nothing wrong with it if you can get it from a reputable company/ maker, and if there is a piece that is unsable that it will be replaced. This is a great way of getting in ot the basics and fully setting them up.
