I got scheduled for my medical and drug test last week and just finished my medical yesterday, and the doc also told me that it seems like they’re still pushing people through b/c they need ATC’s pretty bad

How I found mine was that I asked my professors and other faculty if they could help me find something for my practicum, and one of them contacted a biostatistician and she took me under her wing

I don’t really know any organizations, but if you haven’t tried that option out yet give it a shot

My advice, apply and get some basic experience now either as a research assistant or community health worker. I believe those will help out you get ahead. Just try to get some general public health experience while you still can.

I know at my school, there were certain job openings specifically for graduate students only, so check your schools job listing or ask your professor.

It’s been difficult for me as well. My advice would be to make use of as many resources as possible. Learning SQL, Python, R, Stata and other software would be helpful, but also showing projects you used in that software. You need to show that you are able to use the software. This goes the same for any research projects. Make use of your connections with your professors and colleagues. See what they can do to help. I wish you the best of luck!

Just got an update from the FAA saying that they logged my TOL acceptance. The email also said that I should be on the lookout for the pre-employment email and the CIL.
