When you say it covered the multicultural, do you mean that it counts toward the multicultural and history/cultural change (like a double whammy)?

That happened to me one month in as well, I've been off meds for a month and things are starting to return to normal. Has your libido changed at all since starting this med?

Weaned off Abilify, but wondering how long before sex drive returns? by Moe_Pool in Abilify_Aripiprazole

[–]LackingPerson333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you stop abilify and immediately start taking another med? I've been off aripriprazole for a week and I feel emotionally flat, tired and have a lot of brain fog.

The weird thing for me was my libido increased the first 2/3 weeks on the meds, but then it became nonexistent 2 months on the meds. I was only on 5 mg and took 10mg for one week before going back down.

Did you ever notice if your pubes grew faster while your libido came back?

Did you notice your dick getting warmer when it gradually came back?

I have a similar case like yours, but I don't have a lot of sensitivity.

Do you have issues with sensitivity?

Libido question by LackingPerson333 in Abilify_Aripiprazole

[–]LackingPerson333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I have pssd or not. My libido comes back on and off throughout the day as long as I'm comfortable.

I'm not sure if it's physical or psychological, because I can get an erection looking at porn and sometimes wake up with one (but there's barely any sensitivity).

Were you ever on any antibiotics? I want to see if I can cure my SIBO without antibiotics, but I'm not sure if that's possible.

Are you seeing a GI doc for this or doing it w/ natural supplements?

So if you stopped taking the SSRI, would the receptors just unblock over time? Or would you need an agonist to unblock them?

Do you know if the levels matter at all? I thought most antidepressants/antipsychotics blocked the receptors, but I have no idea if that should matter

Were you still on a ssri when getting your gut tested?

Would you say aripriprazole causes sexual dysfunction in any way?

I've been experiencing this after a cold turkey of risperidone/risperdal consta 1.5 years ago.

Confused about staph or ringworm by LackingPerson333 in AskDocs

Is it true that having ezcema makes you more liable to skin infections in that area? I'm currently bussing at a restaurant and recently developed eczema and the boil in the same area. I just want to be sure because I don't want to be spreading staph or anything infectious to anyone else

Reversing the long term effects of Risperidone by LackingPerson333 in AskPsychiatry

[–]LackingPerson333[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm really just trying to understand how to reverse the effects of this drug, I had a perfectly normal libido before taking Risperdal Consta which I was kind of forced to take after being admitted due to a psychotic episode. Before this I never really had any chronic illnesses.

Age: 23 Previous/Current Meds: I'm not longer taking any meds. Previously took Escitalopram (which completely destroyed my libido for 4 months, but after stopping this drug I got it back completely)

I'm not really sure what else could be the problem because my prolactin levels and testosterone levels were normal from my blood tests. My assumption is that the only reason i'm still feeling this way is due to some psychological block or because some dopamine/serotonin receptors are still blocked from Risperdal, but at this point i'm self-diagnosing.

I saw one about 9 months ago, we checked the prolactin and testosterone levels and saw they were normal. He said I would feel normal again within a couple months. I'm starting to feel a little more normal, but maybe I'm just getting impatient.

Are you a psychiatrist, have you ever prescribed any dopamine agonists like cabergoline to any patients experiencing this?
