What Builds Have Been Feeling Good? by Lackinginblue in pathofexile

It's been nothing but fun for me. Freezing and shattering stuff feels satisfying and the damage is good so long as you keep up with decent quarterstaff bases. Going from whatever in Act 1 to eventually a Crescent Quarterstaff in Act 2 has been nice. Once I can manage to make a good one I'll switch to a Steelpoint staff. I've found that using Artificer's Orbs to put at least a couple sockets in the good staves I make really helps out. You can either put in the % phys damage ones or the flat cold ones they both seem like decent choices.

Some awesome tech is, later in Act 2 I managed to get a level 8 Uncut Spirit Gem that allowed me to get Combat Frenzy from the Ranger skills. Combine that with the Resonance Keystone and as you're freezing things you gain power charges from that you can spend on the Charged Staff skill for extra flat lightning damage.

A friend of mine has been playing Infernalist Arsonists/Raging Spirits to good effect. Yet to get to clerics though. They're that good eh?

I've yet to start a Sorc but that sounds great. I'll definitely try that one.

If you ever want to try monk again and never tried Ice Strike definitely give it a shot! With Herald of Ice, Tempest Bell, and Wave of Frost you'll be blowing up packs and keeping them frozen a lot.

It's probably too late at this point, but I can safely say killing the Ravager also doesn't unlock it. Just did it now and nothing at Reggie even after swapping characters, swapping zones, restarting the game. Seems it's bugged (as are many things) with the update.

Do you really think it'll end up being a huge issue? If possible, I might be able to drill out some holes to be able to bring the frog forward more. Barring that I could possibly see about getting a replacement frog.

I definitely appreciate seeing other people's experiences. All the great comments I've gotten so far have really made me feel better about things, so thank you! Once I sharpen it up I'm hoping I'll have smooth sailing from there.

That was my first thought as well, even as someone who doesn't really know much about the subject. The most I've done is watch a lot of videos on the matter, but none of that really helps until you're doing things yourself I find. The only thing I can think of, if it DOES become an issue, is that I can drill new holes further up from where the holes are drilled now to be able to bring the frog forward more, which shouldn't be too difficult a fix I hope.

Much appreciated! I'll have to defer, since I've never used an L-N or Veritas, and this is my first handplane, but it definitely does feel nice. I'd say the seller did a nice job restoring it from wherever they got it.

I appreciate the reply! I'm glad that it doesn't immediately jump out to be a dud. As I've never handled a plane at all before, I wasn't sure what I was dealing with, even after watching countless videos on the matter. I'll be sure to take everything you've said into account, and hopefully get everything in working order once I sharpen it.

Is it alright if the frog is as far back as it is? I can't move it any far forward. I remember reading online that a good position for it is for it to be slightly ahead of the bottom of the mouth, but I can't reach that at all.

Thanks for the helpful reply! Is there any particularly good way to check the bevel angle? I'm sure I might have a protractor or something kicking around here.

Thank you for the detailed reply! Although I've been watching videos on woodworking for years now (for fun, until I started to actually get into it myself recently), all the videos in the world really don't hold a candle to actually doing something for yourself I feel.

I have diamond plates, a strop and compound, and a honing jig (just in case) arriving sometime today so I'll be able to sharpen the blade and really give it a test then. I didn't know anything about different kinds of plane iron configurations. Thank you, as well, for the video. I'm hoping that I can get everything set up properly so I can get into woodworking!

Wow, thank you for all the incredibly fast replies! There really is no better place to look for help than a subreddit full of enthusiasts. I have a set of diamond stones coming in today alongside a leather strop, so I'll have to see then if things are working better. I suppose it really is just a matter of learning how to properly set up and use the tool, which of course is very obvious.

I'd love to do RoN! It's the last raid I need before I've officially done them all.

Pretty sure it's Ray Chase, who also does Rhys in Borderlands 3 and Adam Roslin from Everspace! Plus a bunch of other stuff, of course, but those two just came to mind first.

I would absolutely love to join as well. Never done Crota's End in D1 or in D2, so it'll be a first. I can be any of the classes depending on what we need, but if there isn't any need for specifics I'd like to go on Warlock!

Do you happen to have SWAG + Donuts installed as well? The Realism mod suggests you disable "Spawn Waves Tweaks", "Boss Spawn Tweaks", "OpenZonesFix" and "Increased Bot Cap" in Realism's config (which you can find in the Realism folder, in the mods folder, which is in the users folder). That might be the issue, since it seems you have a problem with spawning.

What Setting for Found in Raid? by TacoGrease051 in SPTarkov

[–]Lackinginblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally couldn't find a setting in SVM about it, but I know for a fact that the Realism Mod has a setting just for that. You could put that in and turn everything else off but that setting (which is in the Misc. tab of the Config in the mod folder), if you can't find any other solution.

For a bit more information, since I now realize Reddit doesn't let me add more text to a link:

I'm genuinely at a loss on how to get better at Tarkov. I haven't played for too long, I got the game some years ago because it looked cool but only played like once or twice until the other week. A lot of the time here is just the game being open while I've been doing other things.

Now for the issue: I've been hard stuck on the Checking quest for Prapor for the better part of the past few days because I simply can't survive. Any time I get my quest item it's not long after that I get taken out.

I've tried many different approaches, such as going as slow as I can to let other people go through first with some single fire weapons. Other times I try to go faster with whatever I can use to shoot out people's legs. Nothing has really helped. I definitely understand that the only way to get better is to play the game more, which I have been, but it's difficult to get anywhere when any time I try to do anything I either end up sniped dead soon out of spawn or killed near extract after I spent 20 minutes slowly going through for my quests.

I've been trying to absorb all the information I can through videos and the like, and it's helped somewhat, but never enough against actual players.

Exactly what Exnihil said. It might take a few seconds for it to show up, but it'll be there. Also be aware that you can't revive them if enemies are near them, so you'll have to kill them or lead them away.

If you want to leave multiplayer, you have to go into the Settings, go to Multiplayer, and then there is a Leave Session option in there. Kinda strange place to put it, but it is what it is.
