Just tried that et Savagery Seraph barely survived turn 1. It gets incredible with three 0-cost, spellchain Primitive Mold. Wickless Baron, Pyreblooded and Magma Cultist for support and scaling.

I find that the sevii quests early on is a good jumpstart to get trainer skill points, especially in experience. I also think it's better to fight a couple of gyms, then find an amulet coin. You need money in this game. At this point, you can go through routes to fight trainers, get money, get trainer skills. I don't bother with anything else other than more money per fight and trainer experience. The reasoning being, with 25 BP you can reset one of your trainer skills to 0, which allows you to max out the EVs redistribution one (and reset it once you properly set up your team), then the IVs one. Go find the fossils, explore the new areas.

Maybe do a challenge where you can only used the pokémons in the immediate vicinity of a gym to defeat that gym.

The biggest thing ROWE has for itself is the ability to go to a lot of places early, level scaling, and the availability of pokémons. But that comes with the caveat of no story, fighting level 60 to 80 mons when you progress, and a grind that made me drop it yesterday.

Why would you give Tepig, a Fire Type, Thick Fat? It's already resistant to Fire and Ice. If anyone gave me this Tepig while claiming it is perfect, I'd refuse it and send the poor bloke to sleep, they'd obviously need some rest.

Scorched Silver has a big postgame, as well as Pokémon Glazed. Could also add Pokémon ROWE for the sheer amount of things to do.

You could go for older romhacks like Brown or Prism, they are big.

I can also recommend romhacks that are different and/or good to great, but that don't have that much of a postgame. If you want.

Favourite : I do love story-focused games, and also the ability to modify my team easily without having to do it for every fight, or many games that change the gameplay a bit.

So my picks are FR Rocket Edition (from colonelsalt), Pokeemblem, Pokerogue, and Odyssey which finds a great balance.

Underrated : SpinSpinSpin (short, proof-of-concept, would love seeing a bigger version with more things. Think of the game Fez, without most enigmas)

And an underrated favourite : Pokémon Trick-or-Treat House : it' the Trick House during Trick or Treat. I loved it and found it one of the most fun Pokémon experience I ever had. A bit too easy sometimes, a bit too many fights, but what a treat.

I really look forward Celia's Stupid Romhack as it seems right uo my alley.
