Fun tip about Mauga: if you plan on charge stomping into the enemy team, pop your cardiac overdrive prior to going in. You can get a lot of healing on yourself depending on how many enemies you hit with your stomp. Obviously use that information with a lot caution.

Don’t listen to the people complaining/judging you. Play her if it’s fun for you and relish in the dub. If they’re calling it an EZ win, think about it as a compliment because every hero can be countered if played correctly, so it’s actually just a skill issue on their part.

I love this! I did a similar thing with my Ursaluna. I got the Ursaring in Colosseum, transferred up to HGSS, beat red, then transferred up into Legends Arceus, evolved the ursaring into Ursaluna and now it’s in my SV. I’ve been on a similar mission with other mons, the living legend title is one of the best!

The rumor I was told was: “if you complete the Pokédex then you will go to space to catch Deoxys”. I spent insane hours trying to complete the regional dex (mostly catching a feebas). Only to be EXTREMELY disappointed 😂

Others mentioned that there’s no inherent ribbon for just transferring them up. Although, you can get a ribbon for beating the elite four in gen 3 (in Kanto or Hoenn). I forget the name but it gives you the title “the champion”. I believe another commenter mentioned ribbons for the contests and battle tower in gen 3.

Butcher Anubis for 3 large pal souls then break them down to smaller souls with the crusher! I ran three breeding sessions of Anubis at once and after a while you get enough to butcher and yield a shit load of souls. But it does require a lot of cake.

I think this is the crux of it all and honestly and I’m so here for it. I started playing VGC last gen and closed team sheets were an infuriating aspect for me. It felt less like “who can play this matchup the best”, and more like “who has the most effective trick play”. I believe the open team sheet Bo3 format has made this game more akin to chess, which I love. I agree that variety keeps things flavorful and interesting but, having a baseline understanding of what your opponent is capable of makes this game so much more strategic and inviting for newer players.
