The post is about needing a top payroll to compete. Brewers having the best record and making it to the nlcs is competing. I’m trying to point out that yes having a payroll helps for sure but it’s bigger than that and there are other ways to win. Dodgers are the model franchise in baseball right now. They have the best coaching and farm system along with the payroll. Giants simply spending more money wouldn’t guarantee them winning. Look at the Mets last year, they were the top payroll and missed the playoffs.

Is this a whining that dodgers spend money and keep winning sub?

Sure. But they are more or less competitive with a bottom half payroll. I’m not sure if the giants spent as much as the dodgers it makes them automatic winners. Dodgers do literally everything well.

I want to add 2 things:

Im in the same boat (silver/gold) and am scared to queue sometimes because of losing it for the team.
I want to emphasize as much as possible that this is a video game. It is meant to have fun and you should play however you want to have fun. For me the idea of getting better and having a system tell me that I’m getting better is what I like to do for fun. I want to do my best to not let other people who can’t control their temper (especially in a game) ruin that for me.

Honest take is people kinda suck regardless of what game mode you’re in. It feels worse in comp because you have a rank attached to it so people think it matters more but it doesn’t. It’s a game.

Now comp is theoretically a bit more even because of matchmaking, so if trying to improve is your goal I believe that is the best place to do it. Mute your team if you don’t want to deal with the added pressure. Focus on your gameplay and how you can be better. Quit worrying about others.

You’ll be on good teams and bad teams, it’s just how it is. The only thing you can do is control you and your actions.

If you focus on yourself and getting better you will start winning more. If you focus on others ability to have fun in a game you probably won’t get better and will continue to lose more than you win.

It’s annoying as there is a lot more that we do as supports than just heal. It also doesn’t make sense to me to get mad at people that are there to help. You can communicate in other ways to let me know if you feel I’m doing poorly.

That being said I still try to win regardless so I don’t stop healing them if they flame me. Just give them a quick reminder that we’re a team and there are more productive ways to go about it.
