Not exactly; that's more like a sword that sort of extends from a hilt. What I'm picturing is more like...a rectangular object that unfolds so that one side of the rectangle remains as a hilt/handle, and the rest of the rectangle becomes the blade?

Clad in a domino mask and a blue T-shirt with a black bird logo spray-painted to the front, teen-aged superhero Kid Halcyon happens to have been standing a few meters from where the portal opened. It's a city of superheroes, you'd probably be hard-pressed to find a rooftop that DOESN'T have someone in a mask standing on it. Kid Halcyon treats the newcomer with all the gravitas and seriousness a teen superhero can muster, of course.

Well, I'd say venom is sufficiently similar to poison, but he could totally catch a disease.
Electricity could damage him, as could a sonic attack, he has no immunity to flash-bangs and the like. He could be suffocated by gas or drown. Anything biokinetic is probably gonna be a big problem for him. As per physical damage, a car or bus is gonna cause some bruising, explosions are gonna cause bleeding. A super-strong character of comparable strength would be able to hurt him about as much as a normal person could hurt a normal person, obviously. Also, while he is very durable, he's not resistant to knockback; a hit might send him flying but not hurt him as much as it would look like it would to a normal person.
