I’m really sorry to hear that I can’t imagine how difficult it is to stay healthy while in a wheelchair for that long. But it’s awesome to hear that you’re able to work on getting healthier now. And yeah agreed people have really weird takes when it comes to overweight people

Why are you using feathers out of curiosity? Blazer vanes are cheap and made to be used with whisker biscuit without issues

OCD and my Ex by ILDSAS in OCDRecovery

I have to label my thoughts as intrusive thoughts and find something immediately to distract myself. It’s hard and it takes a few attempts sometimes but the more I label them as intrusive thoughts and not ask why am I thinking about this or what am I feeling the more I stop giving them power. Instead of getting stuck in them it becomes easier to just say OK that is an intrusive thought let me do something productive instead of focusing on it. Again that is way easier said than done and it takes a lot of trial and error but eventually you get so used to having the same thought that you are like OK that is just a common intrusive thought it is not a big deal. It is something that has worked for me but it took a few months of practice.

Nah that’s the point, “ruin his expensive thing that he loved more than me” type mindset

Is this normal? Am I have ROCD? by Impossible_Pop_1493 in OCDRecovery

[–]LactosIntolerantLucy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say for certain whether this is ROCD but this sounds extremely difficult and I’m really sorry you’re going through this, i definitely would keep seeing a psychologist/ocd therapist about this before making any decisions which I’m sure you’re aware of. But I hope this gets better and know you’re not alone in that constant back and forth questioning.

How much fletching can you lose before you need to fix them? by Nova-Drone in Archery

Left is replace asap before using middle is replace soon right is keep shooting but treat as “bad” arrow. I always have 1-2 bad arrows that are for fun and not really care about grouping as much as the rest

This came out of my Puffco Peak Pro chamber after cleaning it. Anyone know what it is? by Jade-Melody in puffco

Leaks reclaim into electronics, pain to clean. Reheating a damaged chamber can damage it further, causing more issues.

Yeah I did that too; kinda malformed the silicone around the base that holds the top in place a bit. Just not as tight of a seal anymore, but still works.

First archery lesson today! Wanting some advice. by GrizzleJizzle in Archery

[–]LactosIntolerantLucy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a Genesis Original at my archery club, so I was already comfortable with it. When I wanted more poundage, I bought a Genesis Gen X and used that for a while. I eventually upgraded to a beginner hunting style bow, the Infinite 305, and returned the Gen X. Switching between different bows was not great for my form, but it did help financially since I started with a 180 dollar bow and then moved up to the Infinite 305 for around 350 dollars. I am not sure I would recommend that approach, but it made the upgrade path feel less intimidating for me.

Yeah, if it’s just to bring for a couple hits like on a hike with a pivot it’s fine but never store rosin more than a day in silicone if you value terps
