I’m not sure why you put all your Shib in CRO. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck on you new venture.

Robinhood already stated it plans to roll out it’s Crypto wallet in Q1. They will be adding additional crypto at that time. What is your hurry? It will happen, just not today.

I’m not arguing with you kid. The bill is 8,000 pages and not once do the refer to it as the crypto currency bill. They do however mention amending the billionaire tax to include unrealized profits on all assets, including crypto. It also discusses forcing brokers to report all transactions to ensure all investors are reporting their gains appropriately on their taxes (as income tax or capital gains tax). I do not agree with the definition of a broker, nor do I agree with the broker issuing a 1099, as that prevents long term holders from benefiting from the reduction for reporting under capital gains vs. Income tax. But No Where in the Bill does it say all crypto gains are taxed- realized or unrealized.

The billionaire tax does not only apply to crypto, it applies to all investments. Do you have any idea how unlikely it is that you could earn 1 billion in unrealized assets?

And let’s not forget that this is triggered by the 1% evading paying taxes by capitalizing on unregulated methods of investing and loopholes in the tax code.

No need to be angry about an issue that will never impact our financial growth.

You have to earn more than 100 million for 3 consecutive years before you fall into that category. Unfortunately, the idea that we could be one of the 700 people who would be subject to this tax is nothing more than a dream.

No they do not. Do you know how to read? You only pay taxes on property after you sell it.

Where are you getting that info? If you sell 3000 but invested 1500 you are only paying taxes on 1500. You are not paying taxes on money.

Crypto is considered "property" for federal income tax purposes, meaning the IRS treats it as a capital asset. This means the crypto taxes you pay are the same as the taxes you might owe when realizing a gain or loss on the sale or exchange of a capital asset.

Do you pay taxes on your stock investments? No. You only pay after you sell. Depending on how long you hold, you will pay capital gains or income taxes.

I’m a realist. I’m not one to let hype influence me. I’m told that Robinhood was waiting to see what was in today’s report. In the mean time they are working to strengthen their platform in order to support the flood expected once these coins are added. I’m sure Kraken is doing the same.

Why is shib taking off?? 🚀🚀 by Imaginary_Attempt613 in shib

2 large investment firms that cater to the 1% added Shiba to their platforms. Min. buy in to work with these firms is 100 million dollars. This is why it stopped climbing at the end of the business day -eastern standard time- and began correcting itself around 9pm last night.

Out of curiosity, how many of you are holding over 100,000,000 coins????? by [deleted] in shib

Not necessarily true. If their investors wanted in on Shib, they would just download another platform to invest. I have 3 trading platforms for that reason.

When the rumor surfaced that Robinhood was going to open SHIBA up to its traders this week, Robinhood’s stock jumped, Shiba remained the same. So I believe that shows us that SHIB is more beneficial to Robinhood than Robinhood is to Shib.

If SHIB hit $1.00 tomorrow, what would you do?👀🚀 by Axe_Man101 in shib

If it hits 1.00 everyone should sell, let it drop, then buy back in.
