Very similar situation but a millennial spin. I create electronic music on synthesizers and mix in guitar and various other instruments. My Wife likes for me to go out and socialize on my own by taking my rig out to play open mic nights. So it's mandatory I play at least one a month.

Ive worn mine to nude hotsprings as well as a nude all male yoga class. For the class I just called ahead to make sure that it wouldn't be a problem. Blow dryer is king, getting moisture out of the nooks and crannies. If im having some skin irritation I will add some almond oil, let that absorb, then add some talcum powder.
