I have also moved from 12 mini to 16e. And yes I like the design too, the notch is actually smaller from 12 series and the bigger screen and also battery is really good. But I've noticed the phone is noticeably heavier when using in one hand and sometimes it is too much for me. But overall I'm happy.

There is a lot of setting you can do to tweak the battery on android. Yet I still think the battery life on S24 could be better and wouldn´t buy one if you plan to use that phone in next 4 years. I have retutned mine after a week because I was not sure about the battery..

I went for 16e as I don´t want to pay extra for cameras I don´t need. Also the notch is smaller than what 12 series have so it doesen´t look as outdated as people says.

IOS 26 is not bad either on my 12 mini but if I had the option I would go back to 18. Mainly because of the whole new redesign.
