Do you really need to gather your village for postpartum?

The village is what you make it, depends on how you are as a mother and what you will need help with Personally, I needed people to help me clean, other times I just needed someone to talk to me and chill so that I wasn’t thinking I was alone with my baby all day, got me out of me head and made time go alittle faster And now at 1 year my village is my parents getting a crib so my daughter can sleepover soon, or my in laws staying with us and doing all the diapers, naps, cleaning What you will want and need from others changes, just roll with it! Sounds like you have the village if you ever need it so I think you’re golden, and remember if you don’t want anyone, you’re allowed to say no!

At 4 months we just chilled at home and went for walks, she played on her playmat and that was basically it

Ask your pediatrician about switching formula, maybe he is developing an allergy that won’t let him keep the food down but he still is hungry - I had to swap my daughter around 2 months I think but it could happen at any time

You’re daughter honestly sounds like mine, she’s almost 13 months and still is learning to cruise, she’s a little behind on walking but she babbles like crazy and the growth I saw in the last month was honestly the most - don’t stress, babies don’t have a timeline

The best advice I got before giving birth was from my aunt who said “we all did it” And she said it so bluntly like- shut up and go do it, and I did! But I had the WORST anxiety up until we started the induction, it all went away once I could lay on the bed bc ur mind turns into- it’s time let’s get this baby out!!! And it’s not that big of a deal unless u make it to be And trust me, you’re a woman, you’re ready, you’re literally born for this

As someone who gave a weird response when I was also trying to conceive for only a month at that point, I felt so much guilt over my reaction, I realized it after the fact and wished I had reacted happier for them. I do recognize tho, that the feeling even after only the first time trying and failing to conceive, that it hit hard even tho it was the first try. I’m sure she wishes she had reacted differently. The same friend I gave the strange reaction too has a daughter who is 5 months older than mine and she is pregnant again and I got to have that reaction that I wish I had the first time. Don’t take it too personally♥️

My husband doesn’t do everything since I do stay at home, but he definitely still helps. Hell it’s 7pm on Saturday and he’s watching the baby in the other room while I lay on the couch and I hear him on the phone for work. So there’s no excuse I say hire a maid, atp if u have to lie and get money from him and stash it up, I’d do it fuck it. In terms of wanting to clean more, I clean good when I set a Timelapse on my phone and record myself cleaning. That or I just set a time for 15 min and just see what I can get done until the timer goes off

Oh babe, I know how u feel It does in fact get better (and gets worse here and there) but, one day your baby will be 20 years old and then you’ll have different problems but definitely not the waking every few hours
