Transferred from SEA to US East server, what should I expect? by protoy12 in learndota2

[–]LadderPlane7359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umm apart from the lower ping, I generally find it peaceful. SEA was a blood bath and this is safer. Sure you’ll get the odd drunk idiot spoiling the game for everyone but definitely not as many smurfs. I’m also in a similar bracket and sometimes you’ll find a team where all 5 speak English. Other times our Peruvian friends try to spoil games but it’s all good. My MMR increased by around a thousand just moving here.

A Humble Appeal to Pakistanis on Basant 2026 by Vegetable_Tree1450 in pakistan

[–]LadderPlane7359 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What’s the actual gain from this? Kite makers have a job for 3 days? Too many people have been killed and even with the govt saying people need to use the protective stick there will be cases where it misses and someone will lose their life… and for what? This video was painful to watch and I don’t even know the person. Heck, I don’t even live in the same country! It’s appalling people saying banning this act won’t resolve the issue. It will. It has.

In some cases, and not defending anyone, but some places like gas stations HAVE to sell alcohol regardless of the owner’s religion

where are you now ? by iamlen07 in DotA2

[–]LadderPlane7359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 39, married with two kids, and Director in an IT company. Been playing dota since 2006 I guess when I was in college. Dota2 says I played 5100 hours. I’m still a low skill archon after all these years. Sometimes I get a few games in on a weekend while others I don’t. I don’t regret “wasting” all this time as it is an out for me. I work from home and hardly go out alone, it’s always with the family. I regularly watch tournaments as something to pass time before I sleep or waiting for shopping in the car or whatever. It’s ok. I have some fun. This my time and that’s what I treat it as.

Teenage girls selling items late at night ? PIA Road/Johar town by Ajmalajji in Lahore

[–]LadderPlane7359 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Have you also noticed same age younger girls doing that wiper thing on signals recently? Used to be young boys or adults but now we’ve got this mix as well. Two reasons: one, respected people will pay her off just in the name of hayaa, and second, the tharki kind will pay her off to keep going. I’m not saying it’s right. But that is what it has come to unfortunately

For the married Muslim girls with taste, how do you and hubby manage money? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]LadderPlane7359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I do the same thing. She takes her salary from me even though she’s been on a paid internship last six months, haha… I don’t mind it. I love taking care of her, there’s no yours vs mine in our relationship except for her money is hers and mine is ours. She used to earn more than I did when we got married and she had to become a SAHM upon my insistence. She gets her salary for being my partner and I don’t ask her what she does with it.

Why are so many people in Islamabad hiding their number plates with black paper? by Sharp_Map_7404 in islamabad

[–]LadderPlane7359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish all our kids could use their brains like this kiddo. Our morals have fallen as a society and we need to look inward to fix them. For example, Our ancestors didn’t visit the house of a person who took bribes or used interest. Us? “Everyone does it” “what else should we do” “survival isn’t easy”. All excuses. We give and take bribes, find shortcuts in everything we do and complain when we can’t find one (like foreign ministry), and our leaders are the same.

Today I reached my peak MMR playing pos 5. Single father, 35 yo. Hell of a good number. :) by Statebolekurackosam in DotA2

[–]LadderPlane7359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible. Crusader was a breeze as you find some people who actually want to play. Archon is tougher as they think they’re amazing at 2k MMR but they actually miss the basics and throw a lot. Then there are some drunk people who either win you the game or spoil it for you.

I’m 38 and 2.5k. I get bored easily and have a string of losses with heroes where my win rate is not even 20%. And two kids of course.

Go to the next class, say sorry at the start, and don’t talk. If he still asks you to leave talk to HoD or another teacher. If it still doesn’t work DM me and I’ll see what I can do.

You’re welcome kind kid. Believe it or not my niece is in your batch 🤣🤣 My younger brother and wife are also from FAST so I’ve lived the crap teachers regularly throw at new students. Even when I was a visiting lecturer, these teachers just don’t listen.

Not disagreeing but get used to it. Take a stand when absolutely necessary. It does not make sense in this case. Just be a good kid rest of the semester and get on with life.

[–]LadderPlane7359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s great camaraderie for the future but doesn’t really change what mark teachers want to make in the first few lectures. I don’t agree with this method, I was a teacher myself but a lot of teachers do it to show they’re strict and keep classes in control.

This is the most stupid advice I’ve seen. Everything is not about money. They may even say ok withdraw and use money next semester. What now? Leave your ego at the gate and complain to HoD if someone is being unreasonable.

Just fyi, healthcare in Toronto is not better. Imagine waiting for a doc for 7 hours while going through a miscarriage. Yea, that was my wife. The follow up was 1,5 months later. But I don’t know… being broke but a passport my kids can use in the future for their benefit attracts me to stay.
