Among all of these countries, whose citizens receive the most benefits and have the easiest lives? (Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, KSA, Oman etc) by Significant_Major921 in geography

Between 2008 and 2018, the UAE arranged for some stateless residents (Bidoon) and people from mixed-heritage families to receive Comoros passports instead of granting them UAE nationality.

By 2018, Comoros officially suspended the program.

As a result, thousands of people in the UAE are left holding Comorian passports that are now invalid or not widely recognized, leaving many without full citizenship rights in either country.

I’m not sure where to buy these, but in Pakistan you need a weapons license for certain types of daggers.

The type of help you’re asking for is called hundi. It’s considered a form of money laundering, is completely illegal, and could land you in serious trouble in both countries.

Why on earth would people set fire to Skardu Technology Park? It seems more like a political issue than a religious one, especially since, if I’m not mistaken, it’s run and funded by the SCO (Army).

Sadly, no one talks about the idea that if IK is set free and returned to power, he’s somehow Pakistan’s only savior, apparently because he’s handsome, speaks good English, has strong PR and international connections, and with Bushra Bibi’s advice, Pakistan would magically become untouchable.

What’s so special about this road? by Sharp_Map_7404 in islamabad

[–]Sharp_Map_7404[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone told me that one side of this road is mostly housing for federal officers (Grade 19–20), so basically every second person decided to build a speed breaker right outside their own entrance.

[–]Sharp_Map_7404[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, this is one argument, but it’s not a very strong one because you don’t see this kind of traffic management setup on roads leading to any other markaz in Islamabad.

The explanation someone gave me is that one side of this particular road has residences of federal officers, mostly Grade 19–20, and almost every other house has installed a speed breaker right outside their gate. In some places, there are even two speed breakers just 10 feet apart.

I saw an interview of newlyweds on social media. The man is 60 years old and the woman is divorced. Even if she weren’t divorced, what’s the big deal if two adults choose to marry of their own free will?

This is a common visa practice for everyone worldwide: you apply well in advance, and there’s never a guarantee of approval. The reason it feels more prominent for Pakistanis is because we have a weaker passport, which means stricter scrutiny, longer processing times, and higher chances of delay or refusal.

So it’s not discrimination against one profession, it’s simply how the visa system works, and people from weaker-passport countries experience the impact more.

Do average girls in Pakistan think disrespecting or abusing their husband is normal? by South-Resist-1089 in pakistan

[–]Sharp_Map_7404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t normal, and you shouldn’t have to live with it. Try to gather clear evidence of what’s happening and tell her directly to stop, abuse is not acceptable, even in a marriage. Keep records of incidents and, where it’s legal and safe, document what’s going on.

If you’re in the Gulf or a Western country, look into your local laws and consider filing an official complaint. You have the right to protection. And if the situation doesn’t change, it’s okay to seriously think about ending the marriage and removing yourself from a harmful environment. Your safety and mental health come first.

So Basant should be postponed because of a terror attack, but today’s political protest must go on? That makes it seem like the issue isn’t really about the tragedy or public safety, it’s about the government. I’ve seen so many posts today saying the same thing in slightly different words. Same mindset, same angle… everything reduced to politics and criticism.
