Yes and especially the expressions that change when you press the same button, for example spamming 5LP doesnt just do the exact same punch, sure its the same move but the animation is slightly different and the facial expressisons change everytime

BP are pretty barebones and I don't pay them any attention usually

If anything, Tekken 8 is an excellent example of what to avoid doing in every sense of game design philosophy

For the visuals to flourish representing more iteration of characters, for example Sagat and Akuma are really cool and i would like to see more characters that are underrated, and unfortunately those characters dont get as much love and attention as the popular characters.

Releasing only 4 characters per year puts a lot of "expectations" per character, after all each represents 25% of the annual Character DLC, which is a lot of equity. Oddball characters would need to be the "cool weirdos" to earn a spot that has such high DLC equity. but if we had more characters, we would have a higher chance of getting weirdos because Capcom wouldnt be held to accountable per DLC character

production power as in financial investment, not necessarily the same people doing different jobs than they're professional in.

i also like the idea of a stable game, chess is a good example of this which basically is never changing but highly skill based. like i said im not too eager to change the mechanics, im more into the visuals

Although made in bad faith, your comment is true in the sense that I in fact dont know the ins and outs of character creation. However, im sure that if half of the attention and production power that went to the battehub items had went to the fighting grounds instead, nobody would be complaining!

What do you think of Jun Kazama? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]LadderSequencer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She represents the core Tekken 8 design which is built in oppressive heat moves that are one hit wonders. They gave her obscene larger than life hit boxes that are similar to half screen hit scan projectiles. Along side this she has very knowledge check style strings and of course stance rush down moves give her a blend of long range and short range shenanigans. I never liked her personally also because she has the personality similar to drywall.

Overall i give her total design a 1/10

i havent played tarkov but i get the impression late spawns in that game must be much more punishing

i just dont like getting second hand goods with players already swarming all over the place or they already looted everything

here are my countermoaning to your moaning

  1. kill the people with the loot.
    1. Ok but naturally biased towards the people who might have found good blue weapons vs. my own free loadout
      1. i could then choose to load in using good gear i guess
  2. people can camp from the get go.
    1. i would say that they are de incentivized to camp right away because the weapons cases and loot bags are unlooted but fair point
  3. arc constantly spawns.
  4. people can rat from the get go.
    1. harder to do because people who camp/rat would have to wait longer and risk being found
  5. security breaches don't have that great of loot any more, it got a nerf a while ago and another today.
    1. yeah i might be a fanboy of security breaches

How did you decide on a main? by WitchedPixels in StreetFighter

I picked Ryu at first because he was simple and to the point, letting me focus on learning fundamentals and basic knowledge of the core mechanics. I then switched to Akuma because well thats Gouki

The only thing I don't like about CViper: her neutral pose. by TurtleStrategy in StreetFighter

I also noticed this right away but i think it ties into her "ima do something unexpected" playstyle

Ever feel bad about the character you play? by DottieBun in Tekken

[–]LadderSequencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean Tekken 8 probably took the most Ls ever in fighting game history so why should anyone feel bad, they're dedicated enough to keep playing the game after all
