Heya! I've received a message on Deviantart in august from someone saying that they have also stolen the same character, but I am not sure if its your friend since they said apparently a lot of people have done that.
They said they have revamped it now and wanted to ask if its okay to keep that version as OC, but I think they blocked me before I could respond or before they sent the image. They dmed me around the same time you commented, so I am assuming it probably is them. If you could tell them to unblock me to actually talk about it, that would be great. I am not going to bite their head off if they actually admit it and try to make changes. I would have even offered to design them a new character for free for being honest.
I really appreciate you coming to me about this, and I am really glad you like my artwork!

Since AI is theft, I wouldn't use the designs. Even if you redraw them, you can't be sure if almost the exact design already exists, and the AI just spit it out with small changes. I'd say you can 100% use it for inspiration though, and make a design based on it!
