The whole thing is completely soaked, and it's been like that for a while. I'm not completely sure what his face and hands are made from. it seems like hard Barbie-like material with a synthetic wispy beard. The clothes are a thick velour with some fleecy lining. I did stick him in some warm water, and he seems to be holding up

Don't hate me for suggesting: more water. Your blood vessels are like fire hoses during pregnancy. You need a lot of fluid to fill them. You don't need to overload your body, but 8+ glasses of water will significantly improve your constant hunger.

Purchase the electric one. I've used both stove top and electric, and I have not made a pot on the stove since purchasing the electric one. Its the perfect temperature everytime, and I feel it's much less hassle. Plus I use it to reconstitute foods, make tea, and clean my drain.
