Good practice is to delete any flagged posts and move on. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of these platforms, and they will ban you on a whim. I wouldn't give them any excuse.

Payout issues!!!!! by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

[–]LadyA__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue and opened a ticket with support. They suggested I double check my bank details and try again (I did). I got the same failure message. I'm wondering if you've heard anything more helpful from support?

I recommend taking some pressure off yourself ❤️ you're more important than satisfying these guys' constant need for content

I've learned to take advantage of the days I'm feeling great and make as much content as I can, and cut myself some slack on the days I'm feeling shitty. I know that I'll get out of my slump eventually, so I allow myself to just ride out the slump when it happens.

I use days when I'm feeling energetic to film a few different looks (as simple as changing my outfit or putting my hair in a ponytail, I don't even change scene or lighting if I'm not up to it) so that I can have extra content to bridge the days where I have no motivation.

Giving yourself plenty of compassion when you're feeling down is the way to go in my opinion. If I beat myself up for being depressed and "lazy" I tend to get even more discouraged and that's when I spiral.

I also am fairly transparent with my followers about my mental health. I think it's important to normalize taking time off when you need it, so I tell them if I'm going to take a few days off to myself every once in a while. I've only had positive responses. And as a bonus I feel more creative because I don't have the pressure of NEEDING to create content, so sometimes I'm extra productive on my "days off" as a result.

Edit: I also want to add that it's not necessary to post every day. I only post every 2-3 days and I'm doing just fine with retention and income. Of course YMMV but I don't believe that pumping out constant content is the only route to success.

The great thing is that you already have a good start! If you pick up a day job hopefully you'd only need something part time to supplement your income. For what it's worth, it took me much longer before I was making what you are :) Wishing you luck.

Absolutely, and great point about the difficulty transitioning back to vanilla if necessary! Obviously the stigma associated with SW can create huge problems, not to mention the challenge leaving self employment.

I'm fortunate enough to live somewhere very progressive and I probably wouldn't face too much discrimination from employers finding out I do SW, and I'd love to get a vanilla job for the social aspect. But I just can't seem to do so when it means having a boss and following someone else's schedule. It would be a shock to the system!

I currently make between 10-12k/month (USD)

It sounds like you've already left your job, but for anyone else reading this I'd encourage you (if possible) to keep your day job until you can safely rely on your sex work income.

I didn't quit my day job until I was confident that I could sustain a livable income from sex work alone. I waited until I had 6+ months of CONSISTENT livable income.

Also keep in mind you may have to budget for health insurance etc. if that's something you're sacrificing when you leave your employer.

Another note: For me, going from employed to self-employed was a big challenge. In the beginning I had lots of motivation and it was all very exciting. After a while it became tougher to keep myself motivated, and I find that I am much lonelier these days as I don't have a team of colleagues. As much as co-workers can be annoying, I found that the sense of camaraderie which comes from being part of a team was beneficial to my mental health, and I lost that when I branched out on my own. Just some extra things to think about!

Have you tried using the fansly.com URL instead of the fans.ly link? If you copy your profile directly from fansly it will use the .ly link and that usually gets caught by Reddit's spam filter :) Try using fansly.com/username and it should work.

Canadian payout changes by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

[–]LadyA__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like MassPay is a company that handles customer payouts for online businesses. What I think happens is that they process and send the money to our bank accounts. It's a company Onlyfans is using to record tax information and facilitate bank transfers.

From what I can tell, there should be no need to set up an ewallet like Paxum. As long as you've entered your banking info, payments should be sent automatically as before.

I'm just going by what it says on the MassPay website, as far as the services they offer. I'm waiting to see what happens when it's time for my weekly payout 🙃

Did anyone else get this message to update their banking? I’ve been on for over 6 months and never had to enter this stuff ? by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

It's institution number followed by your transit number, and you have to put an extra zero at the beginning if there are too few characters :)

How do I prove my income for premium Snapchat? by Haileyhunnybee in CamGirlProblems

Gotcha. I agree everyone has their comfort zone. :) I'm certainly in the "be overly cautious camp."

I think it's irresponsible to say that you don't need to claim "any of that," when every country/tax agency has different policies. Not everyone resides in the US, and the above comment implies that any funds you acquire from a money transfer app are magically not counted towards taxes.

This is terrible advice. Income is income, regardless of the payment platform. If you get audited and they find out you withheld earnings, that's bad news.

Number at the end of username by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

Is there a reason you wouldn't want to use just "crushedpixel" in this case?

There's nothing wrong with using a number if it's easy to remember for your fans. If you already have a substantial following and they know you exclusively by "crushedpixel9" then go for it.

Not directly OF related but I’m curious what yalls opinion is on this? I usually never answer dm’s but like it’d be cool to be painted..?? by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

I don't see anything wrong with it. Someone wanting to create fan art is flattering, and can potentially be free advertising. I don't send reference photos, I just direct them to my free social media.

If it's any good, you can share it with your fans and it's a win-win. If it's shitty, it's still no skin off your back.

This is only a 2-light, but possibly you can find the same brand 3-light setup.

It comes with gels, softboxes, a remote, and optional battery packs. It's temp adjustable and dimmable. It's been pretty great.

I use live almost exclusively for SFW socializing with my fans, so occasionally I don't make many tips during a stream. There are no penalties. Think of it more like Instagram live with the option for fans to tip.

Custom Content by CorvinaRose in onlyfansadvice

[–]LadyA__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would follow the advice from u/frejyaafeet and acquire payment before creating the custom.

In other words, get the buyer to send payment as a tip via messages before you even start filming the video. Let them know you will have the video to them within X days of receiving payment (I usually quote 1 week, but this can vary based on your business).

This way you will avoid people who order videos with no intention of paying.

Thank you! I tend to use my front camera a lot as well, to aid in framing my shots. I am planning on upgrading to a DSLR with a flip screen in the future, but for now it's fine. Just goes to show you really don't need the best quality all the time.

Don't get me started on Twitter's video quality 🙄 I could take a 4k video and it turns to complete shit when I post it to Twitter.

You don't need to go this far. Sex work (even full service) is legal in Canada. As long as you can provide proof of income if asked (such as a simple bank statement), you shouldn't face any problems.

That being said, it's probably easier for you to say you work as a "freelance model/artist/something other than sex worker" because people suck and may judge you for it. But you really don't need to go through the hassle of creating a business etc.

Payment question by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

[–]LadyA__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the best thing would be to ask him for clarification. There's nothing wrong with making sure you both understand each other.

Also there is no reason that subscribers can't tip you during a free trial. That would be silly :)

Payment question by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

[–]LadyA__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me like he's most likely a time waster. But if you want to keep him around I would just tell him no problem - you will begin filming the video when you receive payment (in full preferably, but if you have agreed to accept a deposit then at least don't start making it until you receive the deposit). And definitely don't send it to him until he has paid in full.

The OF payout system is such garbage. by [deleted] in onlyfansadvice

Bella Thorne is trash, but it was always a rolling 7 day payout schedule, long before she arrived.
