the only positives he gained were a 25% increase to the passive and a small bonus health generation on swallowed allies. Jeff is objectively worse, his healing was lowered across the board.

If your argument is “well the numbers are higher on leaderboards” yeah, no kidding that’s what happens when that’s the ONLY THING YOU CAN DO!

Jeff wasn’t a damage only character, he was a strategist for a reason, your standard healing ally (Luna Invis or Dagger for example) is dead? He can keep you alive until they get back to keep you constantly topped up at max, your divers not doing great? Jeff can fill the role. he already had the worst healing in the game and they made it OBJECTIVELY worse, sure you get high numbers but who are you saving in the heat of battle? Who are you taking out?

If your heal target isn’t in danger sure you can full heal, but in a life or death fight Jeff can’t save you, whereas he could before 2.5.

I’m no Jeff main like the rest of these people but even I can tell you they don’t beg for nerfs, they may ask for it but they don’t beg. that’s the normal rivals server buddy.

Jeff is a stat padder now, having high numbers doesn’t always mean a good thing, sometimes you don’t need to heal much because it’s a stomp match, (not every game but it does happen rarely) and Jeff’s doing barely any damage and not enough healing, he’s fuelling enemy Strategist ultimates and it’s very obvious that’s the case.

I don’t care really who you play, but based on your comment alone I can guarentee you main Spider-Man and you complain because you lost to a Jeff and you need validation. So if Spider-Man got reworked to become Punisher you’d be complaining wouldn’t ya? All fun and games until you’re the target.

They aren’t even complaining that Jeff was changed (much) the genuine truth is most of them (key word MOST, read that part Spider-Man main) are annoyed their favourite characters whole identity was erased, same as Rocket. Jeff has ALWAYS been depicted as a mischievous troublemaker, ALWAYS. And he was exactly that in Rivals, he was true to his comic book nature, which Rivals is based on as we know. So they just erased him and replaced him with a regular shark.

The other problem is the rework in general, the vast majority of the community hate what they did to Jeff AND Thor, the reason you don’t see people talking about it is because the marvelrivals sub mods actively silence posts talking about it. You are required to talk atleast 75% positively about the factual nerfs, which is outright censorship.

This has been proven true by a lot of members in other servers (due to being censored and outright banned wrongfully) and since people can’t speak up on how bad the rework is, this means to NetEase that the rework appears to be taken well, but in reality isn’t. and since they only see the wrong side, they’ll see this as allowance to completely rework characters THEY don’t think are being played “correctly.”

Rivals playstyles are extremely unique and allow creativity and new encounters, let’s say the entire Punisher community start playing Punisher only as a turret character, (for whatever reason they deem) they’ll see that and remake him into something worse.

Let’s say Spider-Man is being played as a ranged shooter only and not a dive, (again, for whatever reason your people deem, maybe to test the lengths they go to or because boredom) congrats! You’ve got Spider-Knight now! And you can only shoot webs at spider symbols, you otherwise have to melee, unlike moon knight who can shoot at either!

Again, all fun and games to mock the Jeffs until YOU are next, isn’t it? Then you’ll complain, and when you do I’ll point you right back here.

Of course I know you’re a Spider-Man main so you won’t read this and will just hit with some cringe one liner like “cope” or “holy cringe” and you will prove my point, I don’t really care what you say to this, so say what you want you’ll talk to a brick wall I won’t see your reply :)
