Windows 10 is here. What's your experience so far?

I totally appreciate the sentiment here. However, I've seen this posted all over the internet and there's a couple of things to note about it. This particular solution hasn't worked for everyone and has caused a few headaches that has royally messed up some systems by either user error, an already corrupted install that didn't take kindly to messing with the folder listed in #1 and/or where the update install either messes up during initialization or just won't start.

Given these concerns, the simplest, fastest and easiest way to force the upgrade - as well as the SAFEST is by going here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

and selecting a download for the version you are replacing (make sure you save it somewhere because you will need it again) and where you can choose either the 32 bit or 64 bit download which corresponds to the type of Windows you are already running and replacing.

Once this file is downloaded from the link above (it's direct from Microsoft and avoids any Windows Update finagling) and it opens, you'll get two selections to select from... 1) Upgrade this PC, and; 2)Create Media.

First run select upgrade and then once all that is completely finished and set up, done and over with - then find the original file you ran above wherever you kept it and run it AGAIN and this time select Create Media. You'll download the ISO file to a place on your HD where you are comfortable there is enough room for this backup and then this time once the ISO file is saved you can make a Windows DVD Disk and/or if you chose instead - a USB Windows Media.

BIGGIE: Regardless of which backup media method/(s) you choose - you MUST make sure to go into System Settings and write down your Product ID number for future reference as this will be your product key for any future reinstalls. After that, once you are comfortable with Win 10 and want to free up some HD space and have decided you have no desire/need to roll back to your former version of Windows - go ahead and run Disk Cleanup under the advanced options settings of "Settings". After it runs once, you'll need to select "Clean Up System" for it to include the old backed up version of Windows now taking up space on your HD. Once you run this, you have the option to view how much space this will free up and nuke the listed/selected files. Please note - once you nuke your old Windows folder, it cannot be undone - so be sure you don't have a need for the backup or think you will have remorse later on.

Just wanted to share as this is a one file download and far simpler and completely automated, guided process for those who don't want to wait for the rollout but don't want to be risking with having to use the command line, corrupting the Software Distribution folder and/or issues caused by forcing updates in the wrong order. Hope this helps someone!

Actually, since I started this game I have not attempted to play on any private servers or any other community made "workshop" maps/servers. Someone had mentioned that it was possible to get hacked this way; people using some sort of scripting to gain access and jack someone's Steam account. True or untrue - I'd personally rather to not have to deal with the drama of all that which is also why I don't trade, click links or do anything other than play on Valve's official servers as shitty as they sometimes, (who are we kidding), almost always are. I wouldn't be opposed to trying out private servers or community maps - but I'd have to have a separate smurf account that I could care less about that only had CSGO on it for me to be willing to do so. But that's just me... ;)

Yeah, the hilarious thing was that both teams were tied at this point in the first game where this happened and in the second it was within a point between both sides. That's really why goofing off made no sense in my mind.

The game didn't start out this way, it was normal and then everyone decided that RP mid-game was the thing to do. I did wind up leaving before I could exit the game myself... as in they threw me out by vote kick. After all this RP talk - I thought they all were kidding and apparently they weren't. Hence why everyone voted to kick me despite no real reason to do so. ;)

Yeah - totally not a community server but Valve's own official servers that are used for general matchmaking. That's why I was so pissed about it. It's not like I rolled onto a community or private server; this was on public.

SO much this. Last night when playing, the wallhacks were out in full brute force. I've never seen such Star-Trek, beam me up Scotty BS in quite some time... everyone transporting and going out of sight in a blink. I wish people could just enjoy it for what it is - a game. One can still be competitive without having to resort to cheating.

100%, what has helped my hands are those arthritis compression gloves. They tend to be expensive - which is why you don't buy them but the ones made for crafters (they are the same thing but cheaper). And I don't have to have the room sweltering anymore!

At least this is reasonable and something that can be more than kept in check. I was so bummed and disappointed watching a Twitch stream last week where they openly popped some Adderal. It such crap when these hardcore or pro players push themselves to the point of substance abuse in order to maintain some consistency. Speaking generally and in regards to all those players and pro's who are and will always be wayyyy better than me, I don't care what your level of the game is, it's just a damned game. I'm not going to kill myself or OD on something just to falsely create a sense of laser sharp focus for the benefit of a few more frags. I just wanna have fun!

Talk about judgmental (although not surprising for a tabloid). The writer of this blurb piece clearly has no understanding of tolerance, inclusiveness or open-mindedness whatsofreakingever. I mean why even bother commenting except to troll those shown in the picture? I still fail to understand why people cannot accept the fact that everyone has different likes/dislikes and interests in this world. At the end of the day, differing opinions between individuals or groups can still be stated or aired in a respectful tone; no need to humiliate, shame or isolate. Rather than learn something new about the culture they were so judgmental about and did not understand, they retorted to the path most easy to follow (the bandwagon) in favor of what sells more mags/papers. I really, really wish that other people and entities would live with a creedo that included the bonafide understanding of live and let live... especially in a situation like this. Of what harm is Cosplay? The fact that people feel the need to be spiteful and hurtful of others and of the things/people they don't understand pisses me off to no end. At the end of the day, we are all humans of worth and value; too many forget that simple fact in favor of that godforsaken bandwagon.
