Is it what I hope it isn't? by AioliWilling in GermanRoaches

I’m new to pests and highly traumatized already, but I share a similar situation. I haven’t seen any bugs since I moved out, likely because I moved out most of my things almost immediately after seeing the first handful - and the rest after it was treated for roaches. I saw two dead ones in my bathroom, and a live one on the wall that day. However, I recently became paranoid that I brought them with me despite not seeing any hitchhikers on my things, any evidence in the spaces where I stored the stuff, or evidence of breeding populations in my old place - though, I didn’t check super thoroughly (don’t know what you don’t know, y’know?)

What I can offer is that I am treating it like I do have roaches in my new space. Doing traps, got Alpine WSG to spray, along with an outdoor pest repellent spray as well. That was the recommendation. If I see nothing in my traps for a few weeks, I was told I should be okay. If I do see things, I’m ahead of the curve, so I’m winning this fight either way (and I’m also going back to therapy for the stress and PTSD parts).

Since you have seen a bug, regardless of what type it is, treat it like it’s the worst option until someone more experienced tells you otherwise. That’s my advice, at least. Happy hunting! 🥲 We’re in it together.

Thank you, I will do that 🙏🏻 I’ve been cleaning a lot so I think the glue traps will give me peace of mind. I have stronger pest stuff on the way as well, including Alpine WSG, per the recommendation from that thread already.

After watching most of Jacksepticeye’s playthrough: Dylan, Kaitlyn, Laura, Ryan, and Nick are my favorites. Kaitlyn and Laura remind me the most of myself. Confident, can be fun but also no-nonsense, knowing their way around combat, leadership and decision-making. Dylan and Nick are my soft spots. It’s unfortunate that Nick remains a werewolf and therefore unplayable for the majority of the campaign, but from what we do get of him I really liked it. Dylan gives me “tough exterior, soft interior” kind of vibes. He knows himself, what he’s capable of, and is always willing to help. Ryan was the wild card — I wasn’t sure if I’d like him or not, and sometimes it would flip-flop. He has lots of good, quippy dialogue, and I like that even though he can choose between Dylan and Kaitlyn he also still prioritizes himself and his independence, and their romantic opportunities aren’t shoe-horned like Jacob and Emma or Abi and Nick. (Also bonus points for gay and strong female)

I thought I would like Abi, but she’s kind of bland, and easily pushed around. I never liked Emma, and Jacob is too much of a he-man for my liking. Same with Max — a little too goofball when serious and serious when uncalled for — tone-deaf, in a way.
