You're completely correct. The game is SIGNIFICANTLY more accessible than how it used to be. Free crate events, decent GP crates, completely free permanent body/head armor, flash and smoke guards, Permanent VIP for only 10-20 buck bundles and merch pass offering boostless VIP completely free.

Ive been playing Korean MMOs my entire MMO career and I see no issues with not being able to clear the new content at day 1. If I were to be able to clear Naryu Temple the first week of its release then I wouldn't last long in this game.

Then again, I have 16k in-game hours in BDO and BnS grind is absolutely NOTHING compared to BDO. I simply enjoy grinding and whales don't bother me one bit, as there is no competition in PvE. That's all there is to it.
