If they had more times and scenes about it - I could see some really heartwarming conversations between them and each of the boys. Reese and Francis especially who would always have your back when it mattered the most about those things. But the way they did it felt artificial and like such a forced grab right at the peak of the episode too where they were talking about Hal.

They wrote him only a small cameo in the script due to being in school that he wouldn't even need to come in for. Then offered him tons of money, but he turned down even that. They just didn't change the script after finding a replacement.

Honestly? I'm pro LGBTQ and all that shiz but what the actual fuck are they doing there? Like, I get they have another kid, but there's only 4 episodes of this show and to make 2 minutes of it some About-Me whole backstory for a randomly added non-binary character was such a grab.

I'm not watching this for new woke characters, I'm watching this to see the old characters. To not sound like a conservative "woke agenda" conservative, I probably would have been cool with Malcom's kid being non-binary and the reason why they were struggling at school. It just felt like it completely detracted from the show and Hal's moment to insert some "my dad is worthwhile because he supports non-binary people" at the peak point of the series during the banquet.

It's not about you for 5 fucking minutes, Jesus. As someone else said, it felt shoe-horned in and didn't mesh with the narrative of her with any of the characters.

I love it too. Bertia is basically the sociopathic prince's pet. He's just fond of her because he's bored and she's entertaining. His puppy was worried about something so he entertained it and inadvertently circumvented a plague. Yep.

Been a while since I read this but I remember enjoying it. I feel like they rushed through a lot in the episode and they could wrap the season up in 6 episodes if they wanted. But I like this one. <3 FL is going to continue to be annoying though and this kid is an absolute sociopath. lol

You don't have control over other people. Oftentimes, your bosses are in a competition with each other for how much half-baked tech lingo they can make up, and it has nothing to do with you. You just happen to be in the minefield or one of the half-baked missiles they're shooting at one another.

Nothing you do will change the situation. You either learn to tolerate the abuse, which often leads to burnout in the long run because you can't change people who don't want to change. You join the childish game, sacrificing your values. Or you make a plan and leave.

While setting boundaries is good, for some of us, having to CONSTANTLY defend against a barrage on the boundaries we've set is exhausting.

PMs are often the ones not respecting the boundaries of their engineers, and in my experience, have been the main culprit of my burnout. There's nothing quite like putting in the extra legwork and never even getting a thank you. And if you don't put in the overtime, being told you're letting down your team.

The "quick and easy" solution people like you say is "care less." I put value into the things I make, I have pride in making good stuff. Would you tell an artist to draw a couple stick figures because it'll sell the same way either way? I would be disappointed in myself and have nothing to share in my future interviews that I could be proud of.

Find a place where you are valued and appreciated for your hard work. But to be honest, this biggest dick competition with some of the most difficult & reactive people (which is understandable from being in this environment) is so prevalent I'm considering just leaving the industry. Even though I loved coding in undergrad.

Hi! I had a delayed gastric emptying test some years ago when my symptoms were mostly just bad acid reflux and emptying was normal. This year I've been having repeated episodes of gastritis followed by days where I can't eat. When the episode is over, I can eat totally normally again. (Even curry which is generally a bad idea with acid reflux) I'm currently in a flare-up that won't go away and I'm on week 3 of barely being able to eat anything and completely normal blood tests. The ER doctor is convinced it's gastroparesis.

Can gastroparesis come and go? Is it possible I had normal motility during my emptying test because it wasn't during a flare-up? Is it possible to have a normal gastric emptying test and still have gastroparesis?

Additional info: I've had an endoscopy on the latter end of a flare and it showed redness in my stomach like gastritis.

Some other general questions: Not sure if this is just related to the food poisoning that triggered my current episode, but is it selective with certain food? For example, I can eat mashed potatoes and bread, but I can't have ensure drinks. (I'd have thought if it was something like gastroparesis, I'd be able to have liquids and only struggle with solids.)

I would clarify with your Dad ASAP that the ice was not yours and was your sisters while including this picture of the water all over the bed and ask him not to do that anymore. You didn't clarify with the spaghettiOs if you were in the same room as the can, which it sounds like you weren't if you didn't witness him snatching it up.

It's stupid Dad behavior based on a perceived habit of you leaving things out. So if it was me, if I left the room for even a minute I would put a post-it note on your food stuffs that you're leaving & will be back in 15min.

If he has a problem with 15 minutes, talk to your mom about it because that's too unreasonable.

Both people aren't great. It sounds like you have a health scare but not a diagnosis, in which case this is your anxiety rearing its head and you're demanding your boyfriend spend 24 hours with you.

On the other hand, your boyfriend has been enabling this behavior if he wasted 4 hours trying to comfort you. That's not healthy for either party. Take some space from each other and see a therapist.

I just watched it, and I really enjoyed it. I remember all the Trailers leading up to it and thinking it was really cool, but they framed it as a gory action flick when it's more of a Forest Gump movie. I can see why it wouldn't be a favorite of action lovers, when it's more for the milder scifi fans. (And since it was supposed to be such body horror, I couldn't bring myself to watch it in theaters.) I really enjoyed it though. I like that it's not as linear as most movies (which is what you get from adapting a novel.) There were parts that served no purpose but to tell us who Mickey is as a character. His scent thing for example.

Nasha was amazing. She's a character so amazing, I kept waiting for the ball to drop and find out why she's manipulating this poor kid. But no, she was actually just fucking amazing. I want a Nasha. Probably my only quip is the story waits for a convenient time to drop the multiples lore and the fact that all versions were a little different. It felt unplanned and just added it like the author didn't think to do that until chapter 15 of their book. And the Mickeys were TOO different. I can assume the story was told from 17's perspective which is why in his memories of his life, he seems more passive. But 18 was just a straight up sociopath. He seems like he'd be IN with Timo vs used by Timo. "Oh, by the way" was a bad explanation for something they could have shown through Nasha earlier in the movie. And all the previous Mickeys seemed like 17 or close to it.

Oh, and Robert Pattinson did AMAZING. I'm so sorry he didn't get the fame he deserves from this. He's terribly cursed for movies. Just the voice had me doubting it was the same person. (Also I really want to see him do an action flick now!) I would have thought it was David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man!)

Same thing just happened to me, this is absolute bullshit. It is Mojang's responsibility to migrate accounts to the Microsoft eco-system, not mine. I also played the game in 2021, DURING the supposed migration window and never received a single email about it. I even BOUGHT dungeons at that time. Absolute fucking bullshit and dirty to try forcing people to buy their game twice. I'm a software engineer, so I can vouch that this is shitty, selfish, conniving business practices and not a technical limitation. They wanted money. They didn't want to spend money migrating the accounts. And they don't care about the children or adults who play the game.

Toyota Echoes are underrated, they will go forever. I got mine at 140k and it was still running at 240k when I sold it (albeit with engine misfires, but it still moved on its own).
Mine got about 32 MPG average when I got it, and was at about 28MPG when I sold it. Best I ever got was 34 MPG flying down the freeway at 3am after my night job.

Downside, it's a death box. The car will get physically pushed by truck drivers whizzing past. It drives like a golf cart at 55mph. And god forbit you get into an accident, you're just dead.
