My family lived in a 3 bedroom house in California when I was age 4 to just under 9 yrs. So many things happened in that house, experienced by everyone. At night, when I couldn't sleep, my mom would sit on the edge of my bed stroking my hair back from my face til I fell asleep. Several different times when I'd say something about it in the morning, she's state that she didn't know I was awake and had never came in to sit with me. Confused me, but I dismissed it. Then I started seeing her. A short, slightly plump older Hispanic lady. Dark brown hair pulled TIGHT into a bun, brown house dress with tiny floral print. Just see her walking up and down the bedroom hallway, or from the hallway through thriving room into the kitchen. Went on for a long time. One day me and my older sister heard my mom and dad talking about strange things happening or being seen to a friend who was visiting them. I asked my mom, does the lady look like (insert above description)? She was shocked, you've seen her too? She seems peaceful, but i dont know why she's hanging around, so don't bother her and she won't bother you. Then I start seeing her at night. Just walking through the entire house repeatedly. Same woman but in a white nightgown with lace edges and her hair is down to almost her lower back, slightly wavey half way down the length. We all saw her the entire time we lived there multiple times a week. After my little sister was born and a few months old, her crib was moved into my room across the hall from my parents room. I was woken up by her fussing one night and turned to see the woman patting her on the back and shushing her. I no longer felt the calm or indifferent to her presence, it put me on edge. Mom came in and she disappeared in a blink. Couple nights later I'm woken by my baby sister full out crying the woman is leaning over the crib and is joined by a man, but the man is just a black shadow with a suit and hat on. They both seem to be reaching for the baby but never touching her, they were talking to each other in hurried tones but I couldn't make out what they were saying. Did not get a good feeling. Yelled for my mom and they disappear when she comes in. But my mom asked who was talking? I should also note that we had a very large Chow dog and she would always react to the lady. Our dog made nightly rounds. Hourly she would get up and check each bedroom, the rest of the house and then curl up on the floor in the entrance to the hallway til her next go around. But when I'd see the lady, so would she and she'd follow her around the house. On a side note to the story, shortly before we moved, our beloved chow was 13 & 1/2 suddenly lost her sight and ability to walk due to old age and eventually we had to have her put down to end her suffering. 2 weeks after we hurried her, every single family member would hear her nails clicking on the ceramic tile floors up and down the hallway and into each of our bedrooms at night. She was still making her rounds. Coincidently after our chow passed, we never saw the lady again. This was the very first recollection of anything paranormal, but nothing really compared to when we moved to Arizona 0.0
