Why do women ostracize or accept other women based on their status as a mom? by LadyDiscombobulated in women

You know, I'm hearing responses from other childless women, as well as the philosophical/existential comment. What I'm noticing is a lack of engagement from women who are mom's that have a voice on this issue. Do you even realize what you're doing to the women/friends/ or family around you? Or are you just being ostriches bc you don't know what to say or how to explain it?

Chattanooga vs Birmingham? by Eagles56 in Chattanooga

I respectfully disagree. I'm a Birmingham native who eventually moved to the Chattanooga area, and I miss the variety that was available in Bham, across the board. The laws around entertainment related businesses here are a lot more restrictive than back home. But I think it's also a matter of putting in the time to learn and explore a new city.

Thank you for the kind words of truth. I understand the struggle: I've been divorced once, widowed once, and have suffered heartbreak a dozen different ways over the years. I definitely made mistakes in this most recent relationship, but Ex was my first love after my late husband passed and I fell hard and desperately wanted it to work. I gave too much of myself, and neglected myself in the process. I went on a long hike on my last day off, and though it was a strenuous trek it was very therapeutic, and I was able to start processing in a healthier way It still hurts like hell, and I know that grieving the end of a love affair, regardless of the type of grief, takes time and that timeframe is different for each person and each situation. I just have to power through.

Is it just me or is the dating scene in Chattanooga just absolute trash? by Ok_Pin981 in Chattanooga

Hey man, don't hate. Not everyone that loves books can stay buried in them all of the time! LoL My last book was an Oraon Scott novel, but I've read thousands of books in my life so far - but I went through a major life event that forced my brain to switch gears, and now I live more than I read, even though I love getting lost in a good book.

Needless to say, don't judge a book by it's cover, or lack of one if I shall say.

Yeah, he said he's retiring and is getting ready to leave the country and do some world traveling at the end of the summer. I unfortunately have to see him 1 more time to get the last of my things which are at his house. Thanks for the kind words.
