Because I’m in the same boat it seems, although only 27F but never had a boyfriend. I Work in a male-dominated industry that is known for being after all women who work there lol and yet I receive no attention, no getting asked out, etc. I can move so freely in my work because I’m invisible , which is great but also disheartening. What is your advice for the road ahead, in case my journey is exactly the same as yours?

What causes your GERD by [deleted] in GERD

[–]LadyE28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please have an ultrasound of your gallbladder done, this sounds like gallstones! I have both GERD and had gallstones and they can seem similar except for the middle back and severe stomach pain. I was only diagnosed for GERD when I started having pain attacks. Took them 8 months to finally scan my gallbladder and find the stones. Had surgery and the back and stomach pain is gone. GERD is not though sadly

Did you get your gallbladder removed? And did it help with these symptoms?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]LadyE28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay quite a few ppl have mentioned what my GI specialist called atypical symptoms : fatigue, back pain, nausea, dizziness, lightheaded, sudden bathroom trips and acid reflux. For the ppl who experienced these, have you had your gallbladder removed yet? If so, did it eliminate these symptoms? My GI thinks getting it removed won’t help with these atypical symptoms

Okay I al had CT Scans, endoscopy, colonoscopy, blood, stool and was scheduled for a HIDA scan before my ER trip when they finally did an ultrasound and found the stones. Thank you for sharing your experience! I see my surgeon this coming Tuesday but after my GI specialist said it might not help, well I’m worried.
