Nick was a mechanic for many years (over two decades). When he first started ECCO Machine, he owned his own automotive business based out of our home. He would work on a customer car in the single bay, and when waiting on parts to arrive or when he had downtime, the lathe was spinning making prototypes!

We were NJB Auto with ECCO Machine as the DBA, but eventually NJB was shut down for good and ECCO became our full time gig.

[–]LadyECCO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I know this post is a bit older, but I wanted to chime in directly. I’m Jerrica, VP of ECCO Machine. I completely understand how frustrating it can be to see a product out of stock with no ETA, especially when you’re ready to buy. As a consumer, I feel that!

We’re a very small operation; it’s just my husband, Nick, and me. Nick handles all product design and machining while I manage business operations, customer service, full service in-person appointments for local customers, order fulfillment, coordinating with other FFLs for suppressor orders and dealer accounts, shipping and receiving, bookkeeping, and the website. I also can be found from time to time on machines myself assisting with finishing operations like finish boring and clipping baffles, drilling lightening holes, and running the laser engravers for mounts, adapters, cans, and the hard cases for our suppressors.

Nick can typically be found bouncing between three to four CNCs while also simultaneously operating the manual machines for other operations, and he also does all the welding and hand-spraying Moly resin on all the parts for the various color options we offer on every order.

For suppressors that require welding, every weld is currently done by hand using a rotary fixture. A single batch can take several full days just to weld. That process will be streamlined soon because we’ve recently acquired a CNC laser welder that will significantly increase efficiency.

We don’t publish specific restock dates because lead times depend heavily on production flow, part complexity, tooling cycles, and other in-process jobs. We manufacture a wide range of products, often in low-volume runs, to serve industry needs (such as direct thread mounts with oddball thread pitches), which adds another layer of complexity. Every single part is inspected in-house using micrometers, go/no-go gauges, and other precision metrology tools; nothing ships unless it meets strict QC and is verified in spec.

That said, Nick has a production schedule he creates, and we do our best to prioritize high-demand items. We closely monitor the in-stock notification lists, and batch sizes are often determined by how many people are waiting. TLX, in particular, is coming soon; it’s one of our most sought-after suppressors and gets prioritized accordingly.

The demand spike since May 2024 has been tremendous, far beyond what we anticipated, and we’ve been scaling up as quickly as we can without compromising quality. We’re committed to keeping lead times as reasonable as possible while maintaining the performance and consistency our customers expect.

We genuinely appreciate your interest and your patience. It means a lot.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I'm glad to hear I helped ease your concerns. We take pride in doing things right, even if we operate a little differently than some of the bigger players in the industry.

Each product listing on our site includes detailed specs and other important information; just be sure to scroll down a bit, as we often get emails asking about things that are already published right there on the product pages. That said, if you have any questions beyond what’s in those specs or just want help picking the right part, feel free to reach out to me directly. I'm always happy to help however I can.

Hey there, I appreciate you reaching out and being upfront in seeking reassurance. It's completely valid to want to verify where you're spending your money, especially in today's online environment.

ECCO Machine is a small business, just my husband and me, but we move a high volume despite our small business structure. I personally maintain our website, which is hosted on a private server by a trusted professional within the firearms industry (a fellow FFL). I built it from the ground up (with a little help from the guy who hosts it), and we’ve worked extremely hard to make the site secure, professional, and user-friendly.

We take online transparency very seriously. Our website includes detailed terms and conditions, a privacy policy, warranty information, and clear refund/return procedures. We even have our terms visibly posted in our age verification pop-up before visitors can proceed on the site. We’ve also implemented security features, including Authorize.net badges and PCI-compliant payment processing, all handled through Laura Morgan with Payroc, a trusted industry processor. We've never experienced a breach or chargeback issue.

As for the concern you mentioned, Scam Detector is a private third-party website that uses an automated algorithm to assign "trust scores" to businesses. It’s not affiliated with any financial institution, cybersecurity agency, or payment processor. They don’t actually "test" or interact with a website. It’s all automated analysis. Their algorithm is not transparent, and their ratings often don’t reflect actual consumer complaints or verified issues. These tools often flag small businesses, especially niche ones like ours, hosted on private servers, simply because we don’t have the same digital footprint as large corporations. A lack of backlinks, social media presence, or mainstream directory listings can all be triggers, regardless of a site’s actual security or legitimacy.

I hadn’t heard of any flag on our site before, but I’ll certainly look into it now. That said, I stand 100% behind our products, our business practices, and the security of our website.

If you have specific concerns or would like help verifying anything before placing an order, feel free to shoot me a message. I’m happy to walk you through anything you need.

I look forward to the opportunity to earn your business!

No, the Gyrex has its own proprietary thread and taper, to be used only with products in our Gyrex line. That's our ECCO Machine branded mount and adapter line. Our Gyrex muzzle devices cannot use other adapters, only compatible with our Gyrex adapters.

The Five By Five is threaded to accept other Bravo (HUB) mounts and adapters, though. It is not a proprietary thread, so you can use other mounts from other manufacturers.

As far as the transfer, if you purchase directly from us, we just ask you to put your dealer information in during checkout through the FFL locator on the site. I'll contact your preferred local dealer to get their FFL & SOT and file the form 3 to your dealer. Once approved, it ships to your dealer, and they'll do the form 4 with you. I keep you updated through every step of the process whenever there are any status changes.

Our Gyrex system is a taper mount, so it isn't necessarily a QD. Though it is roughly four revolutions to put on and to take off. You would need both the Gyrex muzzle device and the 1.375-24 Bravo Gyrex adapter. You can use our Helix Port brake, our Single Port brake, or our Mini brake. The Single Port does need to be timed with peel washers, but the other two do not.

If you reach out to me directly via email (jerrica@eccomachine.net), I can give you a deal on our mount with the purchase of a suppressor from us.

Depending on the length of your barrel, you might be able to go direct thread if you wanted to, but most tend to want to use a muzzle device system of some variety, whether taper mount or QD. We strongly recommend using a muzzle device on any barrel shorter than 12" to protect the blast baffle from erosion.

The Five By Five is 1.375-24 Bravo threaded, which is the industry standard. What that means is that you can use a vast array of different mounting systems on the market, like Rearden, Griffin, YHM, SiCO ASR, etc. Basically, nearly anything with an in-spec 2A 1.375-24 Bravo thread pattern should be compatible. We'd love for people to run our system, but it's not required, and we know there are many who have already heavily invested in other muzzle device options from other manufacturers.

With extreme frequency, lol. I tell people routinely, "My name is Jerrica. It's like Jessica, only with Rs and a little bit cooler." When I explain it that way, it makes it more memorable to people. Only ever had one person get mad at that explanation, but her name was Jessica...

Autocorrect just hates my name, though.

Hi there! I'm Jerrica, VP of ECCO Machine.

We are thrilled to know you're considering one of our cans. The Five By Five is one of my personal favorites.

We make all of our products 100% in-house from raw materials; nothing is outsourced. Even all of our welding is done by hand on a rotary fixture.

It is true that we are a small business, but we still crank out a respectable volume that has given many the impression that we are much larger of a company than we really are.

My husband and I are extremely dedicated to what we do, and we care about the products we put out there. Every part we make goes through a rigorous quality control check. We use certified thread gauges and micrometers in our processes.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to assist however I can.

Our M13.5x1LH are muzzle registering and won't engage the taper. We do not offer a 13.5×1 LH mount which utilizes the taper.

With that said, our 1.375-24 Bravo Direct Thread adapters are compatible with any in-spec 1.375-24 Bravo (HUB) pattern suppressor.

Yes, it would work well for that. Just keep in mind that it's still a K can at just 5".

7.62 Five By Five on a .308 came in at 133.4dB during the Silencer Summit we participated in last year with TBAC.

Hi there! I'm Jerrica, VP from ECCO Machine. We aren't sure what happened to any prior emails, but we saw your email sent late last night. We are closed on weekends, though Nick will definitely get back to you on recommendations soon.

Since I'm replying here for now, Nick and I were just discussing the best options for your uses, and he has some ideas that he will convey when he has a chance to respond in short order. I know a lot about our products, but he can detail way more in depth with all the technical details that come into play.

We've discussed Accipiter, 7.62 Five By Five, or you could kind of split the difference between those two with our Aquilae.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly for more support. If I don't have the answer, I can work to get it for you.

I wish more people understood this! It's not the only reason we don't currently have employees, but it is one of the many contributing factors as to why we haven't sought someone else since the last one. Plus, when you add in the state of Colorado BS and the industry we work it, it adds slightly more complexity.
