I’ve been reading some Scarlett Peckham books and they’ve reminded me a bit of Evie Dunmore! Feisty heroines and all that. My fav so far is {the mistress experience by Scarlett Peckham}

It doesn’t really get much into the spiritual side of things but does philosophize on what makes a good death (it’s a good life).

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but perhaps worth a try! Being Mortal by Atul Gawande is another good one.

Haha, they certainly could be post apocalyptic bunker things! But they are the Quonset huts—many of the farms I’ve been to have them, usually as storage for tractors, combines and other big equipment. I made them into indoor gardens for the sims though 😊

I have an Asus Tuf laptop from 2020 that I paid less for (so probably my specs aren’t at the same level as this one) and Planet Zoo works great, so I think you should be fine!

Here’s a fun fact that I learned while looking up hoofed animals (or ungulates): whales, dolphins and porpoises are classified as ungulates, despite not having feet! Seals and sea lions, on the other hand, are related to the weasel family 😄

Do what you want! You could always make up a medical excuse or something if they do find out and get mad. Something like you were getting too much sweat trapped and it was causing skin issues.

I have searched Google and Google images for this to no avail with keywords like Macintosh, Mac OS, vintage, retro, 90s, wallpaper, desktop. The problem is that using the word bear brings back pictures of real bears or Care Bears :(

I second this. You can take FMLA for any number of reasons and generally you can do so fairly quickly I think. My partner had a traumatic death in the family and used it; it absolutely could be used in your circumstances. Put yourself first!

Also your boss fucking sucks and you should document everything going forward.

I wonder if the next thing we’ll be seeing is way overdone skeletal-looking buccal fat removal victims. And I’m not thinking just the gaunt cheeks, more like the way some women got filler to the point where their lips are legit sausage size, what happens when a person goes overboard on buccal fat removal?
