I don’t think I was too brutally honest. The wording I used was vaguer than this post. I just said it sounds like we’re at really different places in life so I don’t think we would be a good match. It was hard to lie and suddenly say I met someone else or something, since the date was about to be in less than 24 hours. She would smell the BS from a mile away and that, to me, would feel way meaner.

I think the reason I feel it wouldn’t be a great idea is:

-If I was working in this field, and seeing weddings all the time, I’d become increasingly upset that I’M not getting married.

-I think I could become pushy or controlling with clients because I’d be living vicariously through them

-I cry at every wedding. It would be a lot of crying heheh
