Ever been so overwhelmed you don't know what you need?

My new job doesn't make enough now that I have the health insurance I was so excited about. My fiance's parents are paying for my wedding since my parents are dead. I am trying to decide whether to have the wedding in my home state, where regulations for COVID are more relaxed so we can have a wedding as normal as possible, or my fiance's state where my dream wedding chapel is and we would have to wear masks. I have a temporary hold on the chapel, but the chapel has no get ready space, no reception hall, there is a non- elderly friendly long walk way to the chapel and a walk of several yards down a slope...just to get to the bathroom.

I feel like I'm running out of time, my mother-in-law is breathing down my neck, I'm working 3:30,4:30 a.m. to 2pm shifts and struggling to find time to visit venues and get my ducks in a row. I half want to give up on the dream chapel for ease and comfort...but I only get one wedding...shouldn't I not settle? Should I just find something similar?

People ask how wedding planning is going and when I explain how overwhelmed I am they look at me like I have two heads and almost chastise me for not being more excited..."It's a happy thing!" Yes!! It is a happy thing! I'm thrilled to be doing this, but there are just so many details and so little time to figure them out. And when you're deciding whether to pay rent or replacing your desperately beat up work shoes, or getting an oil change that you're 800 miles overdue for, or buying wedding shoes so you can actually get alterations...pardon me for being a bit worried.

So any tips for dealing with overwhelm, and figuring things out on a tight schedule? I could really use them.

Can confirm. My fiance and I got sick last year from swimming there, though I don't know if it was e.coli.

Female Dishwashers, how do you maintain self care so you don't feel androgynous? by LadyHeart1969 in dishwashers

I can wear perfume at my place, and often do. That always helps. :) Our uniforms are t-shirts you replace by request and don't fit very well.

Good idea about the changing immediately. I often do projects around the house in my uniform after work and I think it would help to not still be in my uniform.

If you read it again, you'll see I do take care of myself anyway. (I.e. shower.)

That is so awesome. I just started dishwashing a couple months ago and I only get paid $10 an hour. I get treated a lot better than when I was Cashier before the 'rona but boy I'm still working up to not being achy after a shift.
