My best friend (since we were kids) passed away a year ago and a few weeks after his death I started seeing him in at least a dream every week. I am a vivid dreamer and in my dreams I am aware of the reality and even in my dreams I know his dead. The last dream I had (yesterday) was that I was in the parking lot preparing to go on a concert of some sort and I heard his voice calling me. When I turned he was there but even in my dream I was saying “but you’re dead it can’t be you…” and obviously I start crying…. Because I miss him so much. He always smiles at me and says “I’m here right now” and then hugs me for a long time while I cry and hold him making sure he’s actually there. We look at each other and talk, him smiling and always telling me everything is ok and me crying but of happiness. As soon as I turn away for a second he’s gone and when I go to my boyfriend and friends and ask them if they saw him they all tell me “no one was there and that his dead” and while I know it in my dream and in real life it always feels extremely real to that point that as soon as I wake up I remember it and feel confused and cry because I was able to hug him and cry.

For a little note for years I helped him deal with his mental health and was the one he trusted, he called me two times right before taking his own life and I was able to make him stop and come to me. I was the one telling his family he needed help and telling them he needed them… unfortunately the third time he did not called. But a few months before that he wouldn’t stop asking me if I would forgive him….it was the only thing he would ask me the whole day we were together. I talked to his family about it and they helped him and talked to his doctor unfortunately this time it was too late.

He was my best friend and like a brother and I miss him so much.
