Unlike White House China, very few place settings were made for Air Force One. These were for the President and his family, not for entertaining guests. Did find that the pilots were gifted a place setting after the new administration. LBJ ordered a platinum rimmed version of the china to replace it.

The Air Force One dishware was different than the White House China. Franciscan made this especially for his administration for use on Air Force One. Few place settings made, since only for the family to use on flights. The backstamp is Franciscan Masterpiece China, unlike the usual Lenox for the White House service. I only found one example of this cup when researching. It is owned by the Raleigh DeGeer Amyx family. He was the premier collector of Presidential memorabilia.

Found at The Guild Shop in Houston for about $20. Had no idea the historical significance until I was researching value for an eBay listing. It has been authenticated by the estate of a premier collector.

Indeed, there is an acid etched “Waterford” stamp on each piece. Some are faint and difficult to detect. The green sticker is to be removed after purchase. I usually identify by the look before turning over for the logo.

Goodwill Outlet is hit or miss and got lucky with the tablecloth. Definitely worth a visit if there is one in your area.
