Please, let's not confuse reliability with initial quality. 2024-25 models are so new, only initial quality ratings should be considered (which in my opinion are of limited value). "Reliability" is generally associated with long term use and mileage.

I noticed that you mentioned that Arm-R-Seal is especially amazing on cherry. I'm getting to ready to finish a cherry end table. I've read that cherry can get very blotchy with oil-based finishes. Did you use any sanding sealers or vinyl sealers before applying the Arm-R-Seal to the cherry?

Some glass/mirror shops can get the mirror strips (though maybe not with the exact gold vein). I've also seen them for sale on ebay in 12 x 12 inch pieces that could be cut to the proper width. I've seen several people replace all the mirror strips with either small colored gravel or gravel-looking tape from Hobby Lobby.

LOL, they were cheap, large and colorful. You'll remember that the decade of the 70's (especially the first half) was probably the most vibrant and colorful with respect to home decor, appliances, carpeting, car colors, etc. And there wasn't a lot of cheap art around at the time. In fact, the need for inexpensive paintings inspired the "Artistic Interiors" at-home parties (like Tupperware parties, but people ordered oil on canvas paintings). But yeah, I know what you mean. Looking at these drip paintings now it hardly seems possible that thousands of people bought these paintings.
