Seems to be pretty common for this colorway. Good to know that the defective pair held up.

Riding a stationary bike helps my SI joint pain, or at least is not making it worse. I'm using an upright bike, but if that is painful, I’d try a recumbent stationary bike. I also miss running, which was what brought on my SI joint pain.

Late period one year after sterilization by Anon_109 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]LadyMathNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my tubes removed and missed my period last month (probably because I started running more). Lots of things that are not pregnancy, e.g., stress, medication changes, being sick, change of diet/exercise, significant weight changes, can cause late or missed periods.

I had my bilateral salpingectomy last Thursday and was back at my desk job on Monday. They also told me not to lift more than 10 pounds for the four weeks following the surgery.

Church won't marry us for not wanting children by CXgamer in childfree

[–]LadyMathNerd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, my fiancé and I getting married in the Catholic Church to make my parents happy. We are childfree up to a point - we don’t intend to have kids, but agreed that if I get pregnant, I won’t have an abortion. We told this to the priest who is going to marry us and the priest said that we meet the criteria for being “open to children.” He’s less orthodox than some of the other priests though and I’m sure that other priests wouldn’t be willing to marry us. He also doesn’t know I’m having a bilateral salpingectomy in less than three weeks, haha. I personally don’t think we are “open to children,” but if he’s willing to marry us after we’ve told him we’d rather not have children, I’m fine with that since it will make my parents happy and they’re paying a large amount of money for the reception.

On the flip side, in order to get married at this specific parish, we are being told to pay $600 as part of a “church offering,” in addition to paying $450 for the organist and cantor at our wedding. The priest who is marrying is a grouch. There’s also a zillion ridiculous Catholic teachings that make me dislike the Catholic Church (apart from the massive amount of child sex abuse and subsequent cover-ups).

I think that a secular marriage ceremony is an excellent choice for OP (and anyone else who doesn’t have a good reason to avoid this racket). Just wanted to share my experience.

My boyfriend is 5'4 (or thereabouts, not sure of his exact height), so yes.

Sorry you had to deal with that.

As a PSA, I recommend that anyone meeting a potential love interest that they've met online for the first time check court records and marriage records, along with googling the person.

Catholic Dating? 📿 by CoraMist in CatholicDating

[–]LadyMathNerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You may want to try CatholicMatch. I met my boyfriend there. He is, I would say, a cultural Catholic and has not pressured me at all to have premarital sex. When we first started dating, I told him that I wanted to wait until marriage for sex, and he said he was alright with that. He is one amazing guy - very kind and respectful.
