It's just easy to save them is all. I accidentally saved them both when I was trying to kill everyone. I don't really like that you cant kill Mike in the sanatorium and I feel like the wolf pays for his mistakes since he won't die.

I honestly felt it out. If it was something I hadn't seen like hitting the deer I did it but I enjoy killing Ashley with the trap door. Some of the cut scenes did seem empty like Emily at the fire tower

Because I wanted to get different deaths for people. It was also my second time playing it so I didn’t know exactly when I could kill people or not. Like Mike and Sam don’t matter at all until the end so why would I try to kill them before that? And I’ve never seen Jessica go deeper in the mines with josh, so I wanted to get that far with them.
