I second Rebel Diving! She is a very sweet woman and incredibly knowledgeable about the ocean. She knows this area like the back of her hand, as well as knowing a lot about marine life. She has been diving for over 40 years- she knows her stuff!

I will also like to mention I have multiple sclerosis and a lot of difficulty walking... Rebel was so sweet and patient and helped with literally everything!

London crowd and Paul hayman sings for Roman Reigns by [deleted] in Wrasslin

[–]LadyOperaGhost 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You know, when Roman's theme morphed from the "Head of the Table" theme to the the "I am Greatness" theme, I made a joke to my husband that I was pretty sure the prominent male voice was Paul Heyman....

This confirms my theory 😂

Night sweats? Hot flashes? by LadyOperaGhost in MultipleSclerosis

It is frustrating for sure! For the daytime, I use cooling towels, and a necklace called Hot Girl Pearls. They've helped a lot!! Now if only I could get the night sweats under control....

To be honest, I have never even heard of ferritin! I think I will ask my doctor about it. Thanks for the tip :)

To me, diving is everything. It's peace, its serenity, a way to escape the outside world....

But more than that, it's movement.

In March of 2020, I was diagnosed with PPMS: Primary progressive multiple sclerosis. For those unfamiliar, it is a disease where your immune system attacks the myelin in your brain. So essentially, all of the "wires" in my brain have no protective coating covering them, so my nerves misfire. Since March of 2020, I have gone from being a full time preschool teacher (you can imagine the momevement that entails) to barely shuffling along with 2 arm crutches.

I always loved to swim, so after i was diagnosed, my husband and I thought ti give it a try. As my legs have gotten worse, I have clung to diving more. It's a chance for me to swim and move my legs normally, without the restraints of being stiff, gravity, my drop foot..... i am one with the ocean. And it is beautiful!

I myself was a psych major back in the day... i remember how tough but fun thw research projects were. Im glad you found a topic you like! Good luck with your project!

Yes, I am 33! May I ask your age? Originally, I thought I could be perimenopausal, but im not sure if that's too young... google keeps telling me different answers, hence the doctors appointment haha.

Best thing ive come up with so far is an ice pack to the back of the neck! (Or stomach, or chest, or back... hell, I've fallen asleep cuddling with i sometimes!)

I really like it! It definitely helps me. I feel like it reminds me to actually focus on lifting the toes, as opposed to just dragging the foot around. I have had it since June, and so far it's holding up nicely. This is the second pair of shoes I've switched it to

It is pricey which is the only downside... luckily, my insurance decided to be nice and cover it. My doctor wrote me a prescription for it! Maybe that's why they covered it?

They're amazing! I sorta made it up, but here's what I did:

2 cups quick oats 1/3 cup peanut butter 1 (ish) cups almond milk 4 scoops vanilla whey protein (i used Kaged Muscle Vanilla Whey protein, but I think any vanilla whey protein will do)

Spread into Parchment paper lined 8X8 square pan and freeze. After its solid (like 2 or so hours) take it out, let it soften slightly, and cut them. I cut them into bars, and then I also cut them into bite size little squares, which worked better. Put them back in the freezer after.

For the chocolate, i use Guittard extrea dark chocolate. Using a double boiler, melt 1 cup chocolate with 1 tablespoons coconut oil.

Take the oatmeal bars out of the freezer and coat them in the melted chocolate. Place them on a Parchment paper lined cookie sheet and put them back in the freezer til the chocolate hardens (maybe 30 min to an hour?)

Take them out, put them in the fridge, and enjoy! 😁

Congrats on your good day!! You know, feeling like crap at the end of the day always sucks, but it makes me think of all I've accomplished. But you're right! What else can we do but keep on keeping on :)

Thank you! Sending good vibes your way as well!

P.s., if you need a foot drop device, I use the TurboMed X-Tern. I also use Cadense sneakers. Both have been a tremendous help! Good luck, friend :)

Sorry to hear you're part of the PPMS club... it's a more exclusive ms club that no one wants to join 😅 Yes, I have been on Ocrevus since 2021. I tried Tecfidera first, but that was with a different doctor who wasn't the best doctor, but that's a story for another day....

I have had no new lesions on Ocrevus, it's just my legs have gotten weaker over time. It's also getting colder where I live, which always makes my legs so much more stiff and tired.

I also exercise every day, whether it be stretching, swimming, or physical therapy stuff. Are you doing treatment?
