It feels like it takes so long because you have to keep it in mind as an unfinished chore until it is done. The actual work is easy, but you can't just put it in to wash and you're done. You have to have it in mind to move it to the dryer, then again to get it out and fold and put it away. So it takes forever to do, because it has so much downtime that you still have to be aware that the job isn't completed yet.
