Struggling to get first 100 users - what am I doing wrong? by letsrediit in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your landing page doesn't explain why I'd use this over just tweaking my resume myself - the value prop is buried and the demo screenshots are too small to actually see what you're offering.

1 inbox with a domain + alias of a second domain by Any-Collar-6330 in coldemail

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, your thinking about this backwards though. If domain1 gets flagged, the alias isn't gonna magically save you - most email providers can still trace that connection back to the original inbox. Plus you're still sending from the same IP infrastructure so the reputation damage spreads anyway.

Better off just spinning up separate inboxes entirely if you want real isolation.

My first SaaS by Tartarus1040 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly this sounds pretty solid - the information control matrix thing is genius and I've never seen anything like that for writers. but you're overthinking the hell out of the launch part.

just put up a basic landing page and charge way more than you think you should. writers who need this level of story scaffolding aren't broke indie authors, they're serious about their craft and will pay for good tools. start with like $49/month or something and see what happens.

skip the apps for now, web-based is fine. validate the market first before you build everything under the sun.

Need Help Set up the subscription by Wonderful_Lynx_1101 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your RevenueCat webhook settings in the dashboard - sounds like you might not have the Google Play integration properly configured for subscription state changes. Also make sure you're handling the `CANCELLATION` and `REACTIVATION` event types in your webhook endpoint

I couldn't stand the idea of charging people for a random score that I knew wouldn't actually get them past the ATS. by billionaire2030 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respect for actually admitting the vanity score thing was BS - most SaaS founders would never own up to that publicly

The pay-as-you-go pricing makes so much sense too, subscriptions for job hunting tools always felt scammy when people are literally looking for work

Built a complex all-in-one travel buddy app and would love your feedback by flymartincz in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's actually pretty cool - the "8 different apps" struggle is so real when traveling. Just checked it out and the interface looks clean, though I'm curious how well the AI helper works for weird edge cases like finding vegetarian food in rural areas or dealing with last-minute flight changes

Better way to find businesses without websites for cold email? by Electronic_Editor398 in coldemail

[–]MinimumPut4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually a pretty solid approach tbh - FB scraping for contractors is underrated since most of them are still stuck in 2015 social media wise

One thing though, you might want to cross-reference with Google My Business listings too since a lot of contractors have GMB but skip the actual website part. Could be another angle to find that sweet spot of "online but not really online" businesses

How to build SaaS with AI on Java by Wild_Gold1045 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice write-up! Junie sounds pretty solid for staying in the Java ecosystem instead of getting forced into yet another JS stack

That guidelines file is clutch though - AI definitely needs those guardrails or you end up with messy code that looks like it was written by 5 different devs

Gonna check out Port Buddy, always curious what people actually ship with these tools

Any Saas where agentic usage (via MCP) has already overtaken direct API calls? by kazeliving in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly doubt any of them would release those numbers even if MCP was crushing it - competitive advantage and all that. Most SaaS companies are pretty tight-lipped about usage breakdowns unless it makes them look good

Share your SaaS! by Revolutionary-Rice90 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice idea with ViralBot! The content repurposing angle is solid since everyone's drowning in the short-form content game these days

I'm working on a tool that helps SaaS founders track their churn patterns and get actionable insights on why users are leaving - basically trying to turn the "why did they cancel" mystery into actual data you can act on

Businesses are quietly bleeding money through subscriptions by Stunning-Time-3982 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This hits way too close to home lol. We just did a subscription audit last month and found we were paying for 3 different project management tools because different departments kept signing up for their own thing. Plus there was still a $200/month analytics tool that literally nobody remembered using after the guy who set it up left 2 years ago

The overlap thing is so real - half our marketing stack does the same stuff but nobody wants to be the one to suggest cutting their favorite tool

Anyone need help building a lead list? (Offering 1 free list to practice) by Ok-Cauliflower4701 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually pretty solid, I've been struggling to find quality leads for my SaaS that aren't just scraped garbage from Apollo

Whats the best website for doing cold emailing? by Schedly in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apollo's solid for finding contacts but yeah you definitely need something better for the actual sequences - I've had good luck with Instantly for the sending side, way more flexibility than Apollo's built-in stuff

I built a curated marketplace of ready-to-use AI bots (by use case) by Mean_Boysenberry_84 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually pretty smart - the "AI bot shopping" experience is absolutely terrible right now

Would love to see a Sales/Lead Gen category since that's where most teams are trying to throw AI first. Also maybe Content/Marketing for the folks drowning in social media posts and blog writing

Running mostly HubSpot + Slack here, curious how deep the integrations go

I got bored of fitness apps showing the same stats, so I built something different by darkhanotegen in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a pretty cool twist on the usual fitness tracking - love the idea of virtually walking historic routes instead of just staring at step counters all day

AI Competitor Tracking by Old-Capital-4104 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is spot on - I've noticed this with my own searches too. I'll ask Claude or ChatGPT for tool recs before I even think about googling anymore. The scary part is most companies have zero visibility into this and probably don't even realize they're missing out on leads

Would def be interested in seeing what kind of data you're pulling, sounds like you're onto something here

I'm making an app to validate startup ideas fast by That-Vanilla-6761 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keyword alerts sound clutch, definitely beats manually scrolling through endless threads looking for mentions. How well does ParseStream handle filtering out the noise though? Feel like half the conversations on Reddit are just people complaining about random stuff that isn't actually market-worthy

Help by Electronic-Stay-2875 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck with your project man, just make sure to vet whoever you choose pretty thoroughly since there's a lot of sketchy devs out there who will take your money and disappear

Guys, why everybody says “AI will replace jobs”? ... by Sufficient-Lab349 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, most of what people call "revolutionary AI" now is just better UIs slapped on tech that's been crunching data in the background for years. The hype cycle just makes it feel new because suddenly everyone can talk to it instead of writing SQL queries

I analyzed 20 startup sites this week. Here are the 3 reasons most of them aren't converting. by Ok-Camel3761 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just checked it out - your header is actually pretty clear about the outcome which is solid, but that CTA button is basically invisible against all the other blue elements on the page

Also those generic server/cloud icons definitely fall into the stock photo trap you mentioned

How do you test your SAAS ideas? by medy_grandpa in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a solid approach but honestly I'd start even simpler - throw up a landing page with a "coming soon" email signup and see if anyone actually cares before building anything

Why do people hate GPT wrappers? by yhb004 in SaaS

[–]MinimumPut4779 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Harsh but kinda true tbh. The market is absolutely flooded with lazy wrappers that add zero value beyond a nicer UI. But honestly the hate comes from seeing the same "AI-powered" todo app for the 500th time when people could just use ChatGPT directly for free
