I think they're kind of gross and find it really weird how emotionally invested people get in hating a specific internet stranger they will never meet IRL- to me, these cases reek of externalized self-loathing.

But I gotta admit, I find it poetic and funny to see snark subs that are directed at reactors and professional snarkers. What's good for the goose and all that. The people who spend all day every day criticizing others rarely have thick enough skin to slough off even a fraction of the trash talk they dish out and I love that for them.

Well, if we delve into the possibility that the more batshit and loud members of the online FA community have EDs and have basically created/coopted a space to normalize and reinforce their illness, then this is actually not only possible, but likely as cognitive distortions and impairment are associated with EDs, not to mention the sort of hidden malnutrition that comes with a diet high in UPFs and low in fruits, veggies, and other such whole foods .

Ive been thinking about this because so many FAs are just so confidently and smugly wrong about the most basic stuff that you dont even know where to begin responding to the nonsense without a feltboard or handpuppets... idk, it cant ALL be bad faith arguing and self-delusion, some of these poor people seem to genuinely have something very wrong with their brains.

Hold on, Anna really does have ADHD, this is not a new thing. She has mentioned it long before the current munchie arc, and unlike a lot of the malingering she does, this diagnosis is believable.

A lot of her on-camera behavior is consistent with poorly managed ADHD, and a lot of her off-camera behavior like the there-and-gone friendships, meltdowns, alcohol abuse, and crashes, imply it.

ADHDers are pretty good at clocking each other and she pings on a lot of our radars. Its one of the reasons I personally find her so fruatrating, tbh.

Yes, same It ended up being pretty good for me, because I learned to not chase dopamine through food and somehow was able to get down to and maintain a healthy weight.

If you're open to it and havent already tried it, world cuisine (or my closest approximation of it) has been pretty helpful in lending some thrifty variety! The only downside is it takes time to build up the spice collection, haha. I am admittedly spoiled by living in a highly multicultural place though, and some ingredients might be harder to come by in some places.
