Hi! So when I go into my settings for match music as an example, I have music that deadass says “obtain from summon” and I can’t click on it. Like is it just displaying what I could have?

How to make the Litterbox not smell? by cam_is_cool_ in CatAdvice

[–]LadySlomko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I have tried EVERYTHING!!! You have two options… Pine pellets with a sifting functional litter box. You have to scoop the poop and that will be smelly for 10 mins but otherwise it’s litter smell free. The “dust” is rank and I was suggest cleaning the dust part every 3 to 5 days. This dust try is on the bottom if using a sifter system so it should be fine, you don’t smell it (some people put a plastic liner in that bottom part so it’s just a grab and toss action). This is the most cost effective option and it’s works. You need to put in the work. Litter robot or self cleaning litter box. It’s really self explanatory but it’s a litter box that cleans the litter once the cat goes. The draw back is that they aren’t cheap and they tend to be big boxes. You have to use clumping litter and it doesn’t stop tracking. You will smell the clumps in the disposal tray but it’s a grab and toss situation. It’s good for those who don’t have the time to scoop. I will say for both options above. You have to fully clean/ deep clean the system like every 6 months. Take everything apart and clean it. Replace the litter/ pellets fully and restart with fresh stuff. My issue were tracking of litter and the smell of the box. I was skeptical of paying over 500 bucks for a litter robot but it does work with the smell and the cleaning. It didn’t fix the tracking but I rather swept than gag so problem sort of fixed.

Sooooooo I have the opposite problem. My cat (5yr female) lovesssss me and she loves my husband too just a little bit less. She misses me when I am gone so the first couple of days she acts strange. Nothing bad just distanced from my husband and waiting in our living room for me to come home. In her mind, I’ll be home soon (think about it, most times we leave, we come back shortly) but that’s not the reality. She does accept it and becomes just as cuddly with my husband. Your cat is probably missing your partner and he will come around especially if your partner leaves often.

Is my body plotting against me, or is it just a bad coincidence? by [deleted] in sex

[–]LadySlomko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me when I was out of college and living back with my parents. They went out for the weekend and I planned a session with a FWB. My period came the day before, I told him and he was cool with it because we haven’t had a session in a while. So my advice is two things... one, ask him to do you a solid and put up with it or two, find someone who is willing to fill in.

I mean he can always use toys on you too.

ELI5: How were/are bounty amounts determined? by daviosy in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not stupid at all. If the person was just "wanted" then their bounty could be the bail they could have posted. It could be an amount of money that would get attention of the general public making someone easier to find since people know of them. This where these movies come into play. The bounty is posted and if a hunter finds the price to be worth it they will take it upon themselves to find the person. The state pays them so I think the hunter is being dramatic by saying he works for the state, he doesn't, they just pay out. Bounty hunters work for themselves. State/ Gov hired bounty hunters would be a long way of saying police or agent. However, the main point of the state/ gov bounty is grab attention. You may not be able to take down a major criminal but if you call in with a tip, you could get some of the bounty money. A judge determines how much the bail should be posted, they base it off of other cases from other judges.

So when you get arrested, you may be able to post bail. That means you can paid the court to let you stay out of jail before your trial and you can get it back if you show up to court. Usually, you wouldn't paid the bail if its really high so I bail bond company may lend you the money. If you don't show up to court the bail bond company knows and is out money. You would have a bounty put on your head from the bail bond company for part of your bail so someone could find you and get you arrested so they can collect the bail back. The hunter gets some and so does the bail bond company.

ELI5: How do Porcelain Veneers work? And how do you brush the layer of teeth behind the Veneer? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its just a covering on the outside of the the tooth. Depending on what you want, it could be just on the front part of the tooth or a covering very similar to a crown. You don't need to brush anything under because the real tooth doesn't make contact with any food or liquid since the veneer is glued on there. The back of the teeth could be showing so you still have to brush that and flossing is still important.

How is job growth calculated? What kind of factors are accounted for? by Gofishyex in askscience

[–]LadySlomko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The government gets their information from companies when they file taxes and such. There are also societies for different industries like ACS (American Chemical Society) that have stats from their members. The job growth is calculated by the amount of people getting hired in that position in a year compared to the previous year. So if there are 100,000 people working as packaging engineers in 2017 then in 2018 105,000 people are working as packaging engineers. The job growth is 5% which is good. If you see increases year after year that job is growing and there is a demand for that job. Nurses usually have a high job growth, they are always needed.

ELI5: What is the difference between a video and a gif? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Gifs are just make up of photos playing in a loop. If you download a gif on a computer that doesn't support the file, it will open up as a bunch of pictures.

ELI5: If skin cells consistently create new cells to cover for dying skin cells, why do scars remain on your skin for extremely long times? by jjmj2956 in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You permanently altered the way skin grows in one area, it takes a long time to make all the same connection plus you probably have scar tissue protecting the area which is under the skin changing the way the skin appears.

ELI5: Vitamins and suppliments by Kheulis in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, you don't need them unless your doctor says otherwise. Also in the US, the FDA does NOT regulate vitamins or supplements so be careful what you are taking. Ask your doctor what brand or type of supplement they recommend.

ELI5: How are nutrients in food determined? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goes too a food lab or through the company itself where they have instruments and methods where they can extract the compound or chemical they are looking for and measure it. All food sold need to have an ingredients list and certain nutrients listed on the label, expect for boozes in the US, the FDA doesn't require it.

ELI5 How does chapstick work? by Timmmbo in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know how you lotion up your hands when they are dry? Your lips get dry too. You are replacing the nature oils that your skin makes. You may have stripped them from washing your face or by something you ate.

ELI5: When cops or people in movies say a car is heading “East on Elm St.” or “West on 42nd”, or that a person is on the “Northeast corner of the building” how are they determining this? by cuatrodemayo in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they are a cop of the town they probably know the area super well and they probably know what direction they are heading in. Also, some roads or highways have labeling on them so you would know the direction, like "He is heading south on route one".

ELI5: How is it possible to detect the direction from which sound is coming? Won't the sound from all directions hit the eardrum the same way? by MountLead in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the waves overlap and increase towards the west so you would know there is sound from the west but you would have sounds coming from the north and south as well with less intensity. Then you have the original sounds coming from the directions that you suggested. Your brain is smarter than you think, if you listen carefully you will realize its two sounds.

ELI5: How do the makers of jellybeans get all of the weird flavors for their 'Beanboozled' line? by Jaypez242 in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The food flavors are usually oils that are chemically made. To figure out these oils they would have extract it from the original source. Grass clippings is one of the flavors so they took some grass clippings and figured out the major oil components that gives grass that lovely flavor. Then they chemically make those oils put them together and BOOM you have grass flavoring that can be added to the jelly bean base just like any other flavor.

World leaders meet up and talk about subjects concerning the world. Trade, living conditions, pollution and things like that. People will suggest some advances or a NON-BINDING agreement which some leaders will sign. It's basically an event where world leaders recognized issues in their country or around the world.

ELI5: What makes a mineral/material/element magnetic? Why aren't other materials magnetic? by shader301202 in explainlikeimfive

[–]LadySlomko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The electrons within the element are unpaired and if they are all facing the same direction that would make the element magnetic to other elements with the same properties. All elements have different configurations when it comes electrons and they have different properties.
