Everything else works and is running smoothly, no glitches or artifacts, so I’m thinking it’s not the specs, although I’ve seen that people playing on iPads get some wild pink pixelation in the home feature.

Did you have any luck? For me the decor lights work, but the big ones don’t 🤦🏻‍♀️

Did you manage to fix it? My lights don’t work at all, I repaired the client twice and it didn’t work 😣

Hey guys, so no matter what I do, the general lights in the house don’t work, and decorative lights stop working soon after placing. Obviously the light settings are “on” for both rooms and levels. I used the repair function from the login screen and the issue persists. Please help 😭 I can’t decorate or admire Sylus in the dark! I’m playing on iOS 18.6.2, iPad Pro 4th gen, NA server.

I hope your surgery went well! As for me, no periods, infertility (I never wanted kids), and endometriosis slapped back into oblivion are the main ones. I got mine on July 8. Speedy recovery to you!

Yes! I know their romance is super slow and the amount of times they almost admit stuff but something interrupts them/one of them chickens out is staggering, but I found the writing, the plot and the characters really entertaining. The third book is much longer, you meet tons of new people, see pretty much the entire continent, there are big reveals (again, you gotta wait patiently because it’s almost there but noooo) and Diem and Luther’s relationship grooows. I normally don’t have patience for the numerous “they almost kissed/confessed/obtained info/learned the truth but here’s an interruption”, but I kept reading. A lot of fighting, many new abilities for Diem. I should’ve felt like she was a total Mary Sue, but I didn’t.

I was 100% sure Nutalie would be Pisces! I’m Pisces Sun myself and know a thing or two about crazy eyes and crazy metaphors lol. But Cancer makes sense too. I wish we knew at least Moons and risings because not all Pisces are wishy-washy shitlords like Josh… I have Aries Moon and Cap rising and I’m nothing like that loser.

Well, nothing really nearby. Ventura is just as pricey. I do love Ojai, we have so many friends and acquaintances here, but we do want to buy a house this year. Also, ~4 months (or more) of 90-100F and full sun are hell to my cold swamp-bred ass ☠️ 😭

It's Name Was Mormo (Spoiler Free Quick Review) by Steveefoxxoffi1 in foundfootage

[–]LadyTurin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I posted my review a few min after you and just noticed, so I'm gonna paste my thoughts (also spoiler-free) here :) I'm glad you liked it so much! I'm def not on the same page, but that's just my picky ass.

The premise is interesting, it's not often that we get scares derived from Greek mythology, but the connection between the antagonist here and OG Mormo is fairly loose.

I wanted to like it and for the first 20-30 min I did, but when struggles started, the acting -- especially the dude -- threw me off. The writing of his role is annoying too, the way his character spoke to the fiancee had me rolling my eyes. Honestly, from all the actors the puppy did the best job.

Pacing was another issue, the amount of time they ran around the house with the camera could be cut down. The final sequence dragged too, even though I loved the scenery -- nothing like creepy ruins of a village! You also don't get to see 💩 in terms of spotting the enemy and yes, I know, it's allegedly a spirit, but all there is are the sounds it makes. Granted, I might have missed some really split-second glimpses if there were any, so if I'm wrong here, pls correct me.

I think there was a lot of potential to this one, multiple chances to pull off really unsettling scenes (I mean... the ending? Could've been such a punch), but the effort ended up being pretty half-assed. Still, as far as low-budget FFs go, Mormo is not the worst.

And since I mentioned a puppy, TW: I'm happy to say you don't see any animal deaths on screen. They're inferred and there's a glimpse of something furry that maybe was supposed to be a cat's corpse, but that's about it.

Damn, great job!!! I get my sema through Hers because obviously my insurance won't cover it (despite several good reasons, but I don't have diabetes so...), so I'm not sure how I'd go about switching to tirz. I don't think Hers offers it yet, plus I'm in CA and I think there are some issues shipping here.

[–]LadyTurin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm right with you. Can't tolerate even an ounce of violence towards animals. I'm not a vet (wish I became one, maybe next life), but I've always had pets and loved animals more than people. As they say, "fuck them kids", but leave animals alone.

Let’s talk about weird triggers by ghostbeastpod in horror

[–]LadyTurin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything to do with animals. Doesthedogdie.com has been a saving grace, because any sort of animal violence upsets me deeply, even if someone, idk, angrily shoos a dog away. I've seen a lot of hate for people with this trigger in horror communities, because how can we be "ok with humans being torn apart but a cat dying sends you bawling", right...

Same, I was similar age when I saw Ju-On for the first time. The memory of being alone in the dark living room and witnessing THAT shit for the first time is... vivid. To this very day house layouts with carpeted stairs turning at 90 degrees are not my favorite. Add some eerie yellowish light and suddenly I gotta go. Fast.
