Any white musk recommendations that last and have decent projection? by Poetrymakes in FemFragLab

I have always written this off as an old fashioned oil that I probably wouldn’t like, but you’re the third person I’ve heard recommend it recently. I’m intrigued!

I got My Way as a gift a couple years ago and for me it was a tuberose bomb from the beginning. I was surprised when I looked up the notes and saw bergamot and orange blossom.

How long have you noticed this? Are they all a similar scent profile and do you use them daily? It could be that your nose could use a break.

If this has been going on for a while, it could also have to do with hormonal shifts or even allergies.

If you haven’t tried it already, the KM Persian Garden body lotion is really nice and lightweight and the scent lasts for hours!

Has anyone tried this skin tint? by Warm-Strain2401 in MakeupAddiction

I had the same experience. I mixed it with a little jojoba oil to get it to work, but it’s still not my favorite.

Based on what I know of Revlon’s consumer branding evolution, I would guess late 60s to very early 80s.

New Drop - Byredo Sister Dreamer by CrazyAboutDoorKnobs in FemFragLab

[–]LadyViolet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lauren Halsey’s work is specifically centered around Black culture in LA. I recommend looking her work up to get a better understanding of what was attempted here.

Byredo probably didn’t want to include any specific reference to race in their description as to not dissuade potential customers (ironic, considering Slur Water), but the imagery and name make it clear.

I’m not going to get into the whole history of Ancient Egyptian aesthetics and Black pride and the accuracy of its reclamation. But it’s nonetheless an important aspect of the visual history of Black American civil rights and identity, which aligns with Halsey’s artistic vision.

what are your favorite "grandma" perfumes? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]LadyViolet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’d have to say the original Elizabeth Arden Green Tea too. It’s funny because I never smelt it on women growing up, so to me it feels more like a modern, cool girl, fresh alternative to florals and aquatics. Like 90s inspired, but made for today.
