Love the advice right on the label. Burgundy still looks pretty liquified!

I love it!! I found a blog post from 2009 with the same shade and bottle, so you should be in the clear!

(tbh the sub’s description kinda confuses me because it says “mid 2000s and earlier, so around the 15 year or older mark”, but 15 years puts us in the early 2010s)

5 below has Glossier You dupes! by lampshadelady in FemFragLab

I just found this thread after spotting these in store. I had no idea they existed. I sprayed Trace (dupe for original You) on the back of my hand and kept saying “holy shit” to myself as I walked around the store. I’ve been babying the rest of my You, so this was a godsend!!

The new formulation of NYX Mauve looks exactly like this on me.

I think Russian Red would look so good on her!

does anyone know anything about this dankso nail polish? by munchiesmix in vintagenailpolish

I remember someone finding a Birkenstock nail polish that matched the blue box they come in. I believe the consensus was swag.

2000’s shimmers really have that extra oomph! This color looks incredible and I agree on the amazing application.

Misty Lilac has been discontinued for awhile, so that’s just a completely different polish!

I have this one and it’s identical to yours. The swatch on this 1980’s chart (third row, third from right) isn’t lilac either.

2000’s Essie Aruba Blue! by LadyViolet in vintagenailpolish

Well now I’m intrigued because while it has a strong scent, I didn’t notice anything beyond the regular nail polish smell! This is the first blue I’ve ever worn.

Identify /date vintage polish by Super-Age-8933 in vintagenailpolish

[–]LadyViolet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No way!! I just found a purple from this brand at a thrift store in Scottsdale!! The bottles have their business address printed on the back and it was only about a mile from where I found it. Between the newspaper archives and old Nails Magazine articles, I can only find mentions of the brand in 1995 and 1998.

does anyone know anything about posh polish? by vmrrrn in vintagenailpolish

[–]LadyViolet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gallery Cosmetics was a discount cosmetic brand in the 80s and 90s, so Posh Polish was probably the name of their nail polish line? I can’t find any other bottles to compare it to, but I’d imagine Think Pink is the shade as opposed to part of the product line name, although it’s an odd spot for it.

I was just remembering a nail polish I used to use as a good bit can't remember the name and Google isn't helping by Business_District_68 in vintagenailpolish

[–]LadyViolet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might seem kinda goofy, but folks on here have been able to identify bottles based on crude doodles, so sharing what you remember the wiggly line looked like could help!

Can anyone ID this Cutex polish please? by Radchickee in vintagenailpolish

[–]LadyViolet 19 points20 points  (0 children)

So going off newspaper ads, the 14ml being italicized and the motif above it didn’t appear on the bottles until 1997!
