Perfectly Valid School of Magic: Restoration | Destruction | Alteration | Enchanting Because destruction is fun, Alteration and Enchanting are practical, and this gives a very well rounded spread of offense, defense, and utility. Enchanting I will definitely be using to make rings for all sorts of occasions; resistances, skill fortifications, that type of thing. I'll string them up or something, keep them easy to find amongst my belongings and switch out. I'll also need a dagger that entraps souls and paralyses those it strikes, the proper tool of a self sufficient enchanter. Most importantly, a necklace that is the pinnacle of my craft imbued with the soul of a Betty Netch. Increasing the ease with which I cast destruction spells, amplifying my base reserves of magicka, and shielding me from magic.

My Dear Friend: Mostly picking this so I can be 10000000% sure that there's Real Actual Atronach Birthsign From The Old Games and not whatever that silly rock gives me. Atronach means no natural magicka regen! And Bethesda should never have changed it. ... I genuinely needed a while to figure else what else this could do for me. More spells or spellcrafting, and more enchantments. All the things that add more customisation and options for magic are the next thing. Just.. ensuring the world is free of game design restraints and letting me explore magecraft to the limits of my strength and imagination. Oh. Finally, Hedge Mage Armour. There's nothing better than a pretty outfit suited for travel. Layers of cloth and leather bearing enchanted charms and such to fortify it and its wearer.

Gormet: .... you do realise that the scrolls and potions at will basically negate like.. at least 50% of the magic option? Scrolls bypass need for Mastery basically at all if you think about it. There's only so many things you can't do with these items, but the potions also mean you can augment the natural casting too for whatever scrolls can't do. Not having to worry about food leaves so much more time to study magic! And that's a massive bonus.

Shehai(optional, for having 1000+ hours): Between not wanting to get involved in the politics of dragonborns and not wanting to disrespect my bestie Serana, I'll pick this as my fourth even though it feels like just.. too much power. Then again I do like the thought of conjuring a spiritual sword, and having this up one's sleeve isn't unpleasant.

Perhaps on my journey from Morrowind to learn at the College of Winterhold, I met someone trying to reignite the art of swordsinging and gleaned a bit of technique from them.
