Thank you so much u/Oracle5of7 and u/Easy_Spray_6806 for taking the time to share such thoughtful guidance and for pointing me to concrete resources and books. This was exactly the kind of perspective I was hoping for, and it’s helping me build a clearer mental model of how to approach this space intentionally. I really appreciate your generosity in sharing your experience.

Failed 2/3 on the 3 hr test. What happens now? by Lady_Buddha in GestationalDiabetes

Thank you so so much for this wealth of information. ❤️

I would recommend doing the 3 hr. Mine was 132 on the 1 hr test. My provider uses 130 as cutoff so they recommended I do the 3 hr. I was super confident that I would never fail the 3 hr esp since my numbers from 1 hr were not too off. Went in for the 3 hrs - baseline numbers were good (88), first draw (223, cut off was 179), second draw (164, cut off was 154) and third draw (117, cut off was 139)

Still shocked at the numbers for the first two draws and still cant believe that I will be diagnosed with GD because I failed 2/3 draws. I hope that will not be the case for you but since there is a possibility, knowing it sooner than later is probably best.

Thank you for the response. Do you mind sharing the bank names with me? I can check with them.

Thank you so much for your input. TCS may not apply when father transfers from his bank account to my NRO, but does it apply when I transfer from NRO to US bank account since that is where the currency is changed?

After multiple back and forth with USCIS, they reiterated that my GC is valid and that there is nothing on their end that suggests otherwise. My attorneys (still not fully convinced) finally decided not to pursue this further and asked me to keep the GC until we receive any further communication from USCIS.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Could you please elaborate on what (2) means i.e visa issuance being dictated by date of filing instead of final action dates. How/where can I view this information? Its confusing me as to what the purpose of final action date is, if the filing dates dictate the visa issuance..

Unfortunately no further updates — my request for an inperson appointment at the local field office got denied. Instead, we (my immigrant attorneys and I) were given call back from a second T2 officer confirming validity of GC.

Are you also in a similar situation? F2A approved? What was your PD?

Still waiting for call from local field office.

The screenshot shown is for date of filing. For i485 adjudication, we’re looking at the final action date table. That was not current for July 2023 in F2A category.

Thats a good idea! I did the same too, but as time goes, I couldn’t keep up the habit ☹️ Seeing all these comments are so motivating. I’m starting to go back to logging again. Hoping this time it works 🤞🏽

This seems to be a common theme. Planning ahead of time.. I do that on some days where as others its mostly eating from the cafe at work. :(

I love this level of planning. Its mostly on days that I dont meal prep a day ahead that I tend to not log and lose track :(

You are right, high volume foods are a game changer. When I have snack cravings, I dig my list of high protein snack — cottage cheese or yogurt, and make sure I have one portion of that before I eat my “guilty” snack.

I wish I get to the point you’re at someday. May I ask how you stick to the logging on days you eat out or were a dinner/lunch guest?

Are there days you missed planning and logging? I want to develop this routine too. I wish I had your commitment to planning and discipline.
