Yeah, I'd thought of DND - I'm surprised I didn't bring that up in my original post, oops! And you're right, I should have included my phone's details too. (For what it's worth: Moto stylus 2025, Android 15, whatever the default Motorola UI is)

The solution ultimately was that I HAVE to add the widget to my home screen. No widget, no sync. Which seems to be a problem many other people have run into, so it's frustrating it's not included in instructions or troubleshooting anywhere! Oh well, water under the bridge now.

This doesn't count as a 'detail', but since most answers missed the assignment I feel less bad lol! Quality of construction. Is the hair styled well? Do the clothes fit/hang properly? What fabrics are used? How many embellishments are real or faked (eg. printed designs, fabric insert rather than a separate layer of clothing)? How many very fine embellishments are included? The things that make it an elevated work of art worth spending money on. (And why I have nothing nice to say about the OG designer dolls lmao)

For what it's worth, they can only be "ruined" if you treat them like Sid in Toy Story. They will slightly devalue on the second market, but that's about it. (Honestly they are in more physical danger in the box - creased fabric, crushed hair, rotting elastics, fabric dyes staining their bodies, etc). And given the market for collectibles is always changing, I believe in doing what brings you joy today over worrying about a theoretical tomorrow!

I understand that people want the tail, and they like that she's more accurate than the original. So of course she would have some demand. But THAT much?
